Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented individual with a minimum of 5 years of plaintiff personal injury law firm experience. Proficiency in legal software and strong communication skills are essential. The ideal candidate must excel in time management, possess analytical abilities, and thrive in a collaborative team environment. Responsibilities:
- Manage a litigation caseload under attorney supervision.
- Draft, prepare, and file pleadings, motions, discovery demands and responses, subpoenas, and other litigation documents.
- Coordinate electronic filing through New Jersey state and federal court systems.
- Maintain litigation calendars, including court deadlines, discovery schedules, depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and trial dates.
- Review, organize, and summarize medical records, billing records, employment records, insurance documentation, and other case-related evidence.
- Communicate regularly with clients regarding case status, treatment updates, and document collection.
- Coordinate and schedule depositions, independent medical examinations (IMEs), expert reviews, mediations, and court appearances.
- Draft discovery requests, including interrogatories, notices to produce, and requests for admissions.
- Review and organize discovery responses and identify outstanding deficiencies.
- Prepare settlement demand packages and assist attorneys with settlement negotiations.
- Obtain and analyze police reports, incident reports, witness statements, and other liability-related evidence.
- Coordinate with medical providers, experts, investigators, insurance carriers, and opposing counsel.
- Prepare medical chronologies, liability summaries, and damages analyses.
- Assist with trial preparation, including exhibit preparation, witness coordination, trial notebooks, and courtroom logistics.
- Maintain accurate case files and ensure all case management systems are updated.
- Track liens, subrogation interests, and outstanding medical balances.
- Conduct factual investigations and assist with locating witnesses and obtaining supporting documentation.
- Prepare correspondence to clients, insurance carriers, medical providers, and opposing counsel.
- Support attorneys in case evaluation, strategy development, and trial preparation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Law or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a plaintiff's personal injury law firm environment
- Proficiency in legal software such as Litify, eCourts, and legal databases
- Excellent written communication skills
- Meticulous attention to detail

All salary offers are based upon previous years of experience.
Compensation Range:
$75,000 - $85,000 USD
Compensation: The base salary or hourly range for this position will be determined during the interview process and will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to; prior relevant experience, business needs and market factors. Additionally, salary wages are only part of the total compensation package.
