Description / Responsibilities
We are looking for multiple interns to support our Production/Process industrial teams across Braskem America for 2024! This is an excellent opportunity for students to be involved in supporting operations at a polypropylene manufacturing site.
Responsibilities:
• Monitors, troubleshoots, and optimizes operating unit essential process variables to drive process and product improvements while maintaining a strong safety and environmental compliance focus
• Applies technical knowledge to detect causes of deviations in quality, capacity, yield, and energy consumption
• Follows day-to-day operations of the plant
• Develop initial scope and business case for improvement projects
• Leads and participates in root cause analysis studies to resolve plant process and equipment-related issues
• Participates in PHAs / LOPAs. Performs MOCs and PSSRs for process modifications
• Responsible for review and resolution of action items as a result of HES, ISO, Insurance audits, and PHA studies
Requirements:
Must be at least a Sophomore and actively enrolled in BS Program for Chemical Engineering
