Description
Braskem is seeking an Electrical Engineering major to join our internship program in the summer of 2025! This is a great opportunity for anyone looking to enter the Chemical Manufacturing industry and learn its many facets. The role will be located at our Oyster Creek, TX facility, just outside the Greater Houston area.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with creating new equipment specifications and may serve as the engineering representative on small capital projects
- Work with equipment suppliers, other vendors, and contractors to meet project goals
- Assist with providing reliability leadership for instruments, valves, and the plant’s electrical supply equipment
- Assist with troubleshooting, gathering, and analyzing data
- Participate in plant turnarounds/outages
- Update P&IDs of plant processes with instrumentation
- Assist in the development of policies and procedures for Preventative/Predictive maintenance
- Review, modify, and create Preventive/Predictive Maintenance plans for specific equipment
- Support plant and Operational and Maintenance Excellence goals, including continuous improvement projects.
Position Specific Requirements:
- Enrolled at an accredited college or university majoring in an undergraduate Electrical Engineering degree program. Preference is given to students located within 50 miles of the assigned Braskem location
- Ability to work full-time (40 hours a week during normal business hours) from June to August. Not eligible for virtual work.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States permanently without the requirement of a work/student visa
- A Valid US Driver's license is required
