Description:

Seeking an industrial maintenance Mechanic to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on the facility’s equipment, including rotating and fixed equipment.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  •  Welding/Pipe Fitting/Oxy Fuel Cutting
  • Line opening, flange breaking, gasket replacement
  • Bolting and torqueing
  • Crane Operation/Rigging
  • Valve, filters and PSV change outs
  • Lubrication, Bearings, Couplings
  • Laser Alignment
  • Cartridge and Component mechanical seals
  • Precision measuring Tools
  • Drill Press, Parts Washer, Grinder, sandblaster, lathe and band saw
  • Specialty tools, like rams, wedges, spreaders, hydraulic torque guns, etc.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma
  • Five + years of experience in equipment maintenance
  • Strong organizational skills, troubleshooting and root/cause assessment skills, multitasking skills, oral and written communication skills, and detail oriented
  • Capable of the physical demands related to this position, including frequent walking, standing working in confined spaces, climbing ladders/scaffolding to perform elevated work, repetitive motion, and occasional lifting of weights in excess of 50 pounds
  • Flexibility to work potential overtime, if needed (including weekends and holidays), given advanced notice
  • Team oriented with strong spirit of service, and willing to learn and further develop technical skills

Preferred Skills, Education, and Experience:

  • Experience within a chemical plant environment
  • Experience with SAP
  • Received training either through a formal apprenticeship program or through community colleges combined with informal on-the-job training
  • SMRP, NCCER or equivalent certification
  • Equipment Operator certified
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft office applications (SAP, Word, Excel, etc.)
