WHAT YOU’LL DO

The People Relations team aligns Braze’s business objectives with our most valuable asset, our people. Day to day, we work collaboratively with leaders to help them meet their goals with a focus on their employees and to cultivate a comprehensive employee experience in which every employee is included, challenged, developed, recognized, and rewarded. We’re strategic partners to the business and ensure employees are supported throughout their journey with Braze!

 

The Lead People Business Partner, Revenue (AMER) is responsible for providing strategic support to Global Revenue organization, serving as the primary HR point of contact and thought partner at the executive level. In this role, you will coordinate and align the work of People Business Partners supporting the Revenue org in AMER, ensuring consistent, high-quality HR support across the region while also connecting and collaborating with PBP counterparts globally to drive cohesive people strategies across the full Revenue organization. This is not a direct people management role, but you will provide meaningful oversight, guidance, and coordination across the team. This is an exciting opportunity based in either our New York City or Chicago office, with some hybrid flexibility. The Lead People Business Partner will have a significant impact on the company as we continue to grow and scale our global go-to-market motion!

 

Specifically, you will:

 

  • Serve as the primary strategic HR partner to the most senior Revenue leaders in AMER providing both strategic counsel and hands-on support across the full employee lifecycle
  • Coordinate and align the work of AMER People Business Partners supporting the Revenue org -  providing day-to-day guidance, ensuring priority alignment, and elevating consistency of HR support across the region, without serving as a direct people manager
  • Partner with global Revenue PBP counterparts to align on people strategies, share insights across regions, and ensure a cohesive, connected approach to HR support across the full global Revenue organization
  • Lead talent planning for the Revenue organization, including top talent identification, succession planning, leadership development, and workforce planning, in close partnership with senior leaders
  • Proactively advise senior leaders on organizational design, team structure, and people strategy as the Revenue org scales and evolves its go-to-market model
  • Drive complex, cross-functional HR initiatives tied to Revenue org priorities, including headcount planning, organizational effectiveness, and change management
  • Be both an advocate for employees and a champion for the business, balancing the needs of a high-performing, fast-moving Revenue organization with a strong employee experience
  • Advise and coach employees at all levels using a consultative approach, helping them strengthen working relationships, navigate challenges, and grow their careers at Braze
  • Serve as a connector and amplifier for the broader People team, ensuring Revenue org insights and needs are well-represented in company-wide programs and initiatives



WHO YOU ARE

You're a seasoned HR business partner with deep experience supporting Revenue and go-to-market organizations, and you thrive operating at the intersection of executive partnership, regional coordination, and global collaboration. You're ready to make this role your own!

 

Specifically, you have:

 

  • 10+ years of full-time HR business partner experience in the SaaS technology industry, with experience supporting Revenue, Sales, or go-to-market organizations at scale
  • An ironclad understanding of human resources best practices, employment law and employee relations
  • Impeccable judgment and ability to navigate ambiguity as situations require
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Proven ability to build trust and credibility with senior leaders and influence without formal authority
  • A strategic and influencing mindset, with comfort operating in a matrixed, cross-regional structure
  • Superb organizational skills, attention to detail and accuracy
  • Experience coordinating or providing informal oversight of a team of HR partner,  guiding work, ensuring quality, and aligning priorities without direct management authority
  • A self-motivating, collaborative leadership style that earns trust across both peers and senior stakeholders
  • Robust multitasking skills and comfort wearing many hats at once
  • Comfort working across time zones and geographies, with experience navigating global HR dynamics and regional nuances within a Revenue or GTM context
  • Ability to work with stakeholders at all levels of the organization by tailoring your approach to achieve partnership and the best possible outcome

For candidates based in the United States, the pay range for this position at the start of employment is expected to be between $112,000 and $168,000/year, with an expected On Target Earnings (OTE) between $129,000 and $193,000/year (including bonus or commission). Your exact offer may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition to cash compensation, this role qualifies for a comprehensive Total Rewards package that includes equity grants of restricted stock (RSUs) so that you will own a piece of our company.
