The Vice President of Airport Guest Experience is responsible for leading the strategy and execution of all aspects of Breeze Airways’ airport guest experience. This position ensures safe, efficient, and seamless operations at every Breeze airport location. The role is focused on driving operational excellence, maintaining regulatory compliance, and delivering the “Seriously Nice” guest service that defines Breeze Airways.
Here's what you'll do
Oversee Safety and Risk Management
- Promote a culture of safety by encouraging proactive risk management and fostering an environment where safety is a top priority in all airport operations.
Drive Operational Excellence
- Drive initiatives aimed at enhancing operational efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and guest satisfaction across all airports served. Oversee every aspect of airport operations, including check-in, boarding, baggage handling, and ground services.
Empower Leadership
- Lead and inspire a high-performing team of airport professionals by cultivating a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence. Provide guidance and mentorship to support the continuous development and growth of team members.
Build Stakeholder Relations
- Build and maintain strong relationships with airport authorities, government agencies, and other key stakeholders. Negotiate and manage agreements with airports to optimize operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Ensure Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure adherence to local and international aviation regulations, security standards, and safety protocols at all airport locations.
Be a Strategic Planner
- Develop and implement a comprehensive airport strategy that aligns with the airline’s overall business objectives.
Continuously Improve
- Initiate continuous improvement efforts to enhance airport processes, reduce turnaround times, and optimize resource utilization. Collaborate with the Operations team to develop and implement contingency plans that address unforeseen disruptions and minimize impact on passengers.
Technology Driven
- Stay informed about emerging technologies and oversee the integration of advanced solutions, such as self-service options, artificial intelligence, common use kiosks, and biometric authentication, to streamline airport processes.
Manage Budgets

- Develop and manage the airport operations budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources to achieve operational objectives. Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining safety and service quality.
Here's what you'll need to be successful
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in aviation, operations, business, or a related field
- 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in airport operations
- 5+ years of experience leading large, diverse, and geographically dispersed teams
- Deep knowledge of airport operations, ground operations, safety, and regulatory agencies (FAA, DOT, TSA)
- Demonstrated ability to manage large-scale budgets and operational plans
- Proven track record of driving operational performance, compliance, and guest service excellence
- Experience developing and implementing organizational structure, training programs and change management strategies
- High performance orientation, ability to work under pressure, prioritize projects, and adapt in a fast-paced environment
- Strong leadership capabilities, with ability to influence and motivate at all levels of the organization
- Must be able to acquire and maintain a valid Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) Badge
- Currently hold certification (or be willing to obtain certification by start of employment) as a CRO (Complaint Resolution Official), ACAA, etc.
- Must possess a valid Passport with the ability to travel unrestricted to/from the United States.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree in aviation, operations management, or a related discipline
- Experience with international station operations and regulatory environments
- Knowledge of airline systems (e.g., Navitaire, Gladly) and operational technologies
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
