What You’ll Do

The Director, Marketing will support the development of key portfolio assets. The Director, Marketing will drive cross-functional collaboration and tactical alignment, ensuring success in the US and across the globe. This individual will lead the development of commercial strategy and deliverables, including market development and product adoption. This person will occupy a strategic role on commercial product teams, work closely with Market Insights, Development, Regulatory, Medical Affairs, and other key stakeholders to deliver an integrated commercial planning and execution. The Director, Marketing should feel at home in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment. This position requires excellent communication skills, strategic prowess, leadership, and a proven ability to influence the organization. The Director, Marketing will report to the Sr. Director, Portfolio Marketing.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a commercial leaderive on the Product Teams, embedding the market needs into cross functional planning
  • Lead development and implementation of global brand strategy, identifying opportunities and critical issues that can impact the brand
  • Lead brand planning, positioning, messaging, brand name work, and brand imagery
  • Develop insights on the external environment, market shaping initiatives, competitive landscape assessments, payer/reimbursement requirements, and unmet medical needs. Lead the process to embed insights into brand strategy and planning.
  • Help identify and support the development of key opinion leaders and future speakers for the brand(s)
  • Uncover and address unmet needs by seeking expert insights, arranging and conducting advisory boards. Utilize outcomes to improve/refine launch planning and execution
  • Complete market opportunity assessments and make recommendations on future indications/label expansions/data generation
  • Lead agile, cross-functional team to develop/launch innovative marketing campaigns that will inspire behavioral change and drive brand growth; ensure aligned launch execution across functions
  • Develop and track metrics to measure and ensure the success of marketing/promotional programs
  • Drive innovative tactics and address untapped opportunities
  • Work with the market insights team to develop forecasting assumptions and models
  • Coordinate closely with Omni-channel marketing lead to building an effective customer engagement ecosystem
  • Partner with Medical Affairs on publication planning and medical education strategies
  • Lead commercial convention presence, including target meeting, booth design and production and overall commercial presence across channels
  • Partner with Value and Access to help develop the value proposition and access/ reimbursement strategies 
  • Develop and present business updates to the Senior Team, incorporating feedback into future planning and execution.
  • Partner with regional teams to ensure diverse commercial insights are brought into the planning process, be the commercial voice advocating for these views

Where You’ll Work

This position will be expected to be on-site in both our San Francisco and Palo Alto home offices on a weekly basis.

Who You Are

  • 8+ years of commercial biotech or pharmaceutical experience, with at least five years in marketing
  • Successful launch experience in a competitive market is preferred
  • Rare disease experience preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and action insights from complex clinical data and market research
  • Understanding of the drug development process, especially regarding opportunities for differentiation and value demonstration
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to influence functional stakeholders to set direction, align work efforts, and ensure outstanding execution
  • Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills
  • Ability to travel (~20%) is required
  • Passionate about serving patients suffering from genetic diseases
  • High-level strategic thinking, with the ability to translate customer insights into actionable marketing strategy
  • Proven self-starter, able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Able to handle full workload across multiple projects
  • Collaborates seamlessly across functions to build effective working relationships and align  strategy and execution.
  • High level of self-awareness and understanding of the importance of self-monitoring behavior for continuous improvement

At BridgeBio, we strive to provide a market-competitive total rewards package, including base pay, an annual performance bonus, company equity, and generous health benefits. Below is the anticipated salary range for candidates for this role who will work in California. The final salary offered to a successful candidate will depend on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and length of experience within the job, type, and length of experience within the industry, educational background, location of residence and performance during the interview process. BridgeBio is a multi-state employer, and this salary range may not reflect positions based in other states.
