Who You Are

We seek a detail-oriented and highly motivated Accounting Specialist to support our Commercial Operations team. This role will primarily manage and review gross-to-net accruals, accounts receivable, and commercial and medical affairs accruals. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with accounting standards. This position will report directly to the Sr. Director, Revenue, who reports to the Chief Accounting Officer.

Responsibilities

  1. Commercial and Medical Affairs Accruals
    • Work with Commercial and Medical Affairs teams to gather inputs for monthly accruals.
    • Ensure accruals are recorded accurately and in compliance with company policies and GAAP
    • Review supporting documentation and maintain schedules for audits
  2. Financial Close Process
    • Support the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes by preparing journal entries and reconciliations related to revenue and accruals
    • Assist in preparing financial reports and variance analyses for senior management
  3. Audit and Compliance
    • Provide necessary documentation and support for internal and external revenue and commercial operations audits
    • Ensure adherence to internal controls and SOX compliance requirements
  4. Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Partner with Commercial, Finance, Legal, and Medical Affairs teams to improve processes and ensure accurate financial reporting
    • Participate in ad hoc projects to support the growth and development of the company’s accounting operations

Education, Experience & Skills Requirements

  • BS degree in Accounting/Finance and 5+ years of relevant accounting experience, including +3 years of Big 4 public accounting experience and revenue accounting experience at a publicly traded pharma company
  • CPA license preferred
    • Excellent computer skills, including advanced MS Excel (e.g., Pivot Tables, v-lookups, data merges, filters, and if statements) and MS Word experience
  • Knowledge of SAP is preferred
  • Understanding of US GAAP
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to prepare and support effective presentations of financial results and/or analytical findings
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, working with pivot tables, v-lookups, and other functions
  • Self-motivated and the ability to work independently and collaboratively are essential

At BridgeBio, we strive to provide a market-competitive total rewards package, including base pay, an annual performance bonus, company equity, and generous health benefits. Below is the anticipated hourly range for candidates for this role who will work in California. The final hourly rate offered to a successful candidate will depend on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and length of experience within the job, type, and length of experience within the industry, educational background, location of residence and performance during the interview process. BridgeBio is a multi-state employer, and this hourly range may not reflect positions based in other states.
