Who You Are

We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Director of IT Operations to join our dynamic IT leadership team. This role will act as a key strategic and operational leader to the SVP of IT, facilitating the alignment of IT goals with overall business objectives. The Director of IT Operations will lead strategic initiatives, coordinate cross-functional projects, facilitate seamless communications between IT functions and the business, and assist the IT Leadership team with decision-making and operational management.

Responsibilities

Strategic Planning and Execution:

  • Lead the development, documentation, and publication of the IT roadmap and strategic plan in partnership with the IT Leadership team. Ensure alignment with company goals and business strategy
  • Prioritize key initiatives, resources, deadlines, and goals are achieved in partnership with IT leaders
  • Lead and coordinate cross-functional projects that support the organization’s IT vision and business objectives

Operational Efficiency:

  • Streamline day-to-day operational processes within the IT department to improve effectiveness and productivity
  • Oversee the execution of strategic and operational plans, ensuring that initiatives are completed on time and within budget
  • Develop and implement processes for tracking and reporting on key metrics and performance indicators
  • Develop and maintain metrics, report dashboards, communicate and publish to executive leadership monthly in partnership with IT Leadership

Stakeholder Management and Communication:

  • Act as a liaison between IT leadership and other departments, ensuring clear communication and understanding of IT objectives and initiatives
  • Develop and coordinate the IT leadership team’s internal and external communications, ensuring alignment across different organizational levels
  • Partner and collaborate with SVP, Head of IT in preparing and presenting executive-level briefings, reports, and presentations

Program and Project Management:

  • Develop and Implement Program Management methodology and processes for the management of IT Projects
  • Monitor project progress, mitigate risks, and address any issues that arise during project lifecycles
  • Support resource allocation, budgeting, and planning for IT initiatives

Team Collaboration and Leadership:

  • Foster collaboration across IT teams to ensure alignment and smooth execution of departmental goals
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to IT team members, including coaching, training, and development of operational, budget, and program management processes
  • Lead and manage cross-functional working groups to address key challenges and opportunities

Budget and Resource Management:

  • Partner with the SVP, Head of IT and take the lead in budget planning and management for IT operations and capital expenditure, ensuring financial goals are met
  • Lead and manage the IT Budget Planning cycles in partnership with the FP&A team, including Budget Planning, Budget Variance Analysis, Actuals, Accruals, and Budget Reporting
  • Partner with the IT Leader and support the effective allocation and management of IT resources, ensuring the department operates efficiently and within budget
  • Partner with IT leaders on headcount planning, including contractors, forecasts, and hiring plans

Education, Experience & Skills Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in IT management roles, with at least 3 years in a Program/Project Management or similar strategic/operational leadership capacity
  • Strong understanding of IT strategy, project management, and business operations
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
  • Proven ability to manage complex projects and initiatives, focusing on outcomes and results
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while maintaining attention to detail and meeting deadlines
  • Proficient in project management software, presentation skills, and tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Asana)
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills with the ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams and stakeholders
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate with teams across departments
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Ability to analyze complex business problems and evaluate solutions
  • Ability to drive continuous improvement across the organization
  • High level of personal integrity consistent with BridgeBio’s values

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in IT governance, budgeting, and resource management
  • Familiarity with IT infrastructure, cloud technologies, cybersecurity, and digital transformation
  • Knowledge of Agile, Lean, or other project management methodologies

At BridgeBio, we strive to provide a market-competitive total rewards package, including base pay, an annual performance bonus, company equity, and generous health benefits. Below is the anticipated salary range for candidates for this role who will work in California. The final salary offered to a successful candidate will depend on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and length of experience within the job, type, and length of experience within the industry, educational background, location of residence and performance during the interview process. BridgeBio is a multi-state employer, and this salary range may not reflect positions based in other states.
