What You'll Do
The Director of KOL and Community Engagement will support Attruby (acoramidis), for ATTR-cardiomyopathy (ATTR-CM). The individual will have a deep understanding and relationships within the ATTR-CM community. They will drive cross-functional collaboration and tactical alignment, ensuring success in the U.S. They will lead the development of assessment, strategic and tactical development, and engagement with key opinion leaders (KOL) and community stakeholders in this space. Success will be measured by gaining and sharing key insights, developing educational resources, and creating mutually beneficial partnerships with relevant stakeholders.
This person will be responsible for engaging key opinion leaders in ATTR-CM and driving BridgeBio’s outreach into communities of African descent to support earlier diagnosis and treatment.
The position requires excellent communication skills, leadership, and a proven ability to influence the organization. Candidates should feel at home in a fast-paced environment. This role will report to the Senior Director of marketing.
Responsibilities
- Design KOL identification/profiling, mapping, and critical strategic efforts to establish engagement with and by KOLs in the cardiology space
- Lead the creation, execution, and maintenance of the commercial Key Opinion Leader engagement plan to build, cultivate and maintain KOL relationships
- Collaborate to develop and manage the Attruby speaker bureau, inclusive of program structure/development/maintenance, speaker selection, and innovative approaches to further brand messaging
- Lead U.S. Congress KOL engagement planning
- Lead the development and execution of commercial advisory boards to inform, uncover opportunities, and support brand strategy
- Lead the development of KOL and community steering committee to support outreach and education on hereditary ATTR-CM, disproportionately impacting people of African descent
- Develop educational resources in partnership with community organizations (incl. faith-based and civic organizations)
- Develop educational programming in partnership with professional organizations representing physicians of African descent
- Proactively evaluate/assess the relevant market landscape, monitoring changes in market dynamics, competition, clinician needs, and practices
- Developing targeted measurement plans – setting goals and meeting KPIs
- Work cross-functionally with agency partners and key internal stakeholders, including medical affairs, patient advocacy, and brand analytics
Where You'll Work
This is a field-based position based in the Mid-Atlantic region of the United States with 50% travel anticipated for conference attendance, KOL meetings, speaker program attendance.
Who You Are
- 7+ years of industry experience (sales/marketing, clinical practice, academic, medical affairs and/or patient advocacy)
- This person will be based in the Mid-Atlantic region of the United States (including but not limited to Delaware, Maryland, Virginia)
- Heart failure / cardiovascular experience required
- Experience engaging with community-based organizations and/or professional societies reaching individuals of African descent (such as the Association of Black Cardiologists, National Medical Association, and National Black Nurses Association) is required
- Prior ATTR-CM experience is strongly preferred and encouraged
- Field-based experience is preferred but not required
- Experience leading KOL engagement activities, including the management of KOL data and implementation of strategic initiatives
- High-level strategic thinking, with the ability to translate customer insights into actionable marketing strategy and to align with critical stakeholders on operational priorities
- Proven self-starter, able to work independently and as part of a team
- Able to handle full workload across multiple projects
- Collaborates seamlessly across functions to build effective working relationships and align on strategy and execution
- Passion for health equity and community education is a must
- Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills
- High level of self-awareness and understanding of the importance of self-monitoring behavior for continuous improvement

- 50% travel anticipated incl. for conference attendance, KOL meetings, and speaker program attendance

Salary
$225,000 - $260,000 USD
