What You'll Do

The Medical Director, Clinical Science will lead high-impact initiatives to advance patient care by identifying clinical opportunities, developing a relevant strategy with supporting scientific programs and high-impact scientific content to accelerate clinical adoption.

Working cross-functionally and with external scientific collaborators, this role will independently lead initiatives to improve patient outcomes through the interface of patient-product evidence.

The role requires a physician with clinical experience who is capable of developing scientific strategies that have the highest patient impact, generating related scientific content, leading external collaborations, and driving clinically meaningful programs from concept through execution.

Responsibilities

Clinical Strategy

  • Execute opportunity identification and lead high patient-impact clinical initiatives
  • Develop strategies to optimize patient outcomes
  • Translate emerging scientific opportunities into actionable clinical programs

Scientific Leadership & Content Development

  • Lead development of scientific content, including abstracts, manuscripts, advisory board materials, executive presentations, and scientific communications  
  • Serve as scientific content lead for priority congresses and publication programs, partnering with Publications and Medical Information to maximize scientific impact and content amplification
  • Develop scientific narratives that support clinicians to optimize patient results

Clinical Programs

  • Support and extend the strategy for programs to address latent key clinical challenges
  • Design prospective observational clinical studies with external investigators with Evidence Generation, leading protocol development with a lens of clinical relevance, supporting study planning, budgets, and execution in collaboration with internal and external partners
  • Lead strategic scientific collaborations and translate scientific progress into executive and Board-level communications, integrating results and insights into adaptive strategies, publications, and future clinical initiatives

Strategic Scientific Partnerships

  • Partner with Field Medical to accelerate priority initiatives through targeted scientific engagement, leveraging strategic relationships to build alignment around key patient-oriented initiatives (e.g., women, comorbid CKD)
  • Support focused advisory boards, scientific roundtables, and targeted regional initiatives and programs to lend clinical expertise
  • Develop new scientific concepts and collaborations to expand BridgeBio’s patient impact   

Where You'll Work

This is a U.S.-based remote role that will require as needed visits to our San Francisco Office, as well as periodic travel for investigator meetings and scientific congresses.

Who You Are

  • MD, background or experience in the cardiovascular therapeutic area a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to identify latent clinical and patient needs and to develop strategies and tactics to execute
  • Strong publication record with experience independently developing scientific content
  • Experience designing prospective and retrospective observational clinical studies
  • Strong understanding of clinical trial interpretation and evidence development
  • Excellent scientific writing and communication skills
  • Ability to independently lead complex cross-functional scientific and clinical initiatives
  • Demonstrated success building productive external scientific collaborations

 

At BridgeBio, we strive to provide a market-competitive total rewards package, including base pay, an annual performance bonus, company equity, and generous health benefits. Below is the anticipated salary range for candidates for this role who will work in California. The final salary offered to a successful candidate will depend on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and length of experience within the job, type, and length of experience within the industry, educational background, location of residence and performance during the interview process. BridgeBio is a multi-state employer, and this salary range may not reflect positions based in other states.

Salary

$325,000 - $375,000 USD
