About the Application Support Team

The Investment Tech Application Support team is a group of Site Reliability Engineers and Application Support Associates charged with holding a portfolio of apps that are mission critical to daily Investment Engine business process across the full spectrum of Signal Generation, Portfolio Construction, and Trade Execution. Our app stack is a heterogenous mix of mostly-feature frozen and legacy apps, and our mandate is to hold and evolve that portfolio of applications at lowest cost, lowest risk, and maximum value

Responsibilities

  • Align services to changing business needs by identifying and implementing improvements that support the business processes.
  • Provide operational and technical direction to the team, acting as a player/coach.
  • Provide high-quality technical support for the suite of applications, and services, to achieve the delivery of agreed levels of services to client.
  • Be the first point of technical escalations for the L1 team and onboard applications to support from the L3 Engineers helping to build a robust support delivery for business customers.
  • Own and drive a portfolio of strategic technical projects.
  • Build automation and process enhancements with the help of technologies like Microsoft SQL and PowerShell.
  • Implement Changes on Production Applications and Systems following the Change and Release Management in order to keep the infrastructure stable. Responsible for identifying the steps, implementing the changes, testing, and communications.
  • Responsible to maintain application health such as licensing information, Patch and version of enterprise applications being supported.
  • Able to multi-task and manage multiple demands and projects within deadline.

Position Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience of enterprise technical support experience, with experience in a Team Lead capacity.
  • Experience delivering small- to medium-sized technology projects.
  • Experience and knowledge of tools like Python, PowerBI, and PowerShell
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to provide off-hours coverage on rotation.

Preferred candidates would also meet the following criteria:

  • ITIL certified.
  • Understanding of Operational/Production Support best practices and procedures.
  • Experience working in a DevOps environment.
  • Previous experience in Financial Services.

 

Location Requirements

This role is offered as fully remote within the United States.  Occasional travel may be required throughout the year (should not exceed 1x per quarter)

Compensation Band

The compensation range for this role is $200k to 240k inclusive of base salary and discretionary bonus. The expected base salary for this role is between 70-80% of the range.
