Title: Care Advisor Lead  

Location: Strong preference for Southern California-based with ability to work from our corporate headquarters in Santa Ana, CA at least 2-3 days per week. We are open to partial remote.  

Scope: 

Our team at Brigade Health (and its affiliate medical groups such as Senior Doc, etc.) is responsible for delivering excellent, high-quality care and high-touch assistance and support to prospective patients and current patients every day. The Care Advisor Lead (often referred to as an Inbound Sales Lead in other organizations) is an integral part of the team who is an expert at selling our services to interested patients and families and owning the patient relationship from the first inbound touchpoint through handoff to our providers, and can both execute on these important tasks and lead a team to do so. This includes supporting an efficient intake operation, navigating insurance options, determining relevant service lines from the patient’s first day with us, and ensuring we are thoughtfully giving our providers what they need to initiate high-quality care. They are also a resource and a partner for our clinical care teams, initial intake, and sales teams for questions and updates regarding these responsibilities and associated workflows. The Care Advisor Lead also plays a critical role in patients’ Special Enrollment and Open Enrollment periods, ensuring that our patients are informed for all their options.  

Core Responsibilities: 

  • Ownership of the patient and family experience from their initial touchpoint with us through handoff to one of our providers 
  • Direct sales of Brigade’s services to interested patients and families – willing to be “on the frontline” to help answer the phones while we work together to build the team, as well as execute on outbound sales plans as needed 
  • Build and lead an inside sales team that efficiently delivers on key outcome metrics 
  • Support existing intake team in driving efficiency and outcomes 
  • Learn the details of Medicare, Medicare Advantage Plans, and other local health plan options, and use that knowledge and understanding to help patients and their caregivers navigate insurance questions and issues 
  • Partner with other functions to develop clear workflows that ensure thoughtful handoff of patients and families through every stage of their experience through handoff to providers 
  • Closely coordinate with external sales and broker teammates 
  • Provide exceptional customer service

Qualifications: 

Required Qualifications: 

  • Demonstrated sales and sales leadership experience 
  • Experience building teams, managing them to KPIs, and developing the processes and systems required to enable their work  
  • A passion for working with others to create an unmatched patient experience 
  • A problem-solving orientation and a flexible and positive attitude 
  • Comfort with managing to daily, weekly, and monthly targets 
  • Computer Skills: ability to quickly navigate and use multiple computer programs to include, but not limited to: MS Outlook, MS Word or Google Docs, Excel, insurance portals, EMR, etc. 

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Experience with and a supportive attitude toward our patient population of older adults 
  • Experience helping patients navigate the health care system, especially related to Medicare and Managed Care 
  • CRM experience is a plus 
  • Bachelor degree preferred, or equivalent experience 
  • Proficiency in non-English languages e.g. Spanish, is a plus 

Pay Range: $25-$30 per hour DOE
