Financial Accountant

The Opportunity 

We are seeking a recently qualified Financial Accountant to join our growing Finance team. Reporting to the company’s Financial Controller, this is a broad role with responsibilities in all aspects of accounting, financial reporting, and finance operations. What You Will Be Doing

  • Assist with the month end financial close process, working with other finance team members, to ensure results are delivered accurately and on time.
  • Provide detailed and insightful analysis to support forecasting & planning.
  • Own the group cash flow reporting process.
  • Take ownership of the AR function.
  • You will liaise with our payroll partners and the financial controller to ensure payroll changes are applied, errors corrected, and our teams in Ireland, the US and Australia get paid on time. 
  • You will liaise with external auditors, oversee their interactions and with the Financial Controller  ensure they are completed on schedule.
  • Processing bank payments
  • Supporting various ad-hoc projects and assisting other Brightflag staff with their finance queries.

 

Skills & Experience

To be successful in the role, you need:

  • Qualified accountant; 0-1 years PQE; ideally big 4
  • Understanding and ability to apply IFRS (especially revenue recognition).
  • Excellent numerical ability and attention to detail
  • Strong systems skills
  • Positive mindset and a willingness to learn.
  • Proactive, organized and the desire to work in a fast-paced scaling international organization.
  • Team player who thrives working in a fast paced environment
  • Adaptable and driven with the ability to work independently

 

The following are a bonus!

  • Experience and/or familiarity with SaaS and/or subscription metrics billing (either through audit or industry).
  • Previous experience using NetSuite.
