Our Tech & Product Team play a core role in empowering the next generation with insights, advice and guidance to connect them with leading employers like Amazon, Google, HSBC and many more. Now, we’re searching for a Software Engineer to join our Tech & Product Team as we head into our next exciting chapter of growth. 

The Role: 

As our Software Engineer, you’ll have the exciting opportunity to work in our newly founded growth squad, building innovative features that solve real-world problems for our student members and our employer clients. As well as being a key member of the growth squad, you’ll be working closely with the rest of the lovely and talented developers in our team, along with product, design and other stakeholders across the company - enacting real and meaningful change to students and graduates in the UK and beyond! 

Your primary codebase will be a greenfield TypeScript project. Most of the architectural decisions have yet to be made, so in collaboration with the rest our growth squad, you'll have the opportunity to have a great deal of influence over what this looks like! 

What you can expect to work on in your first six months… 

  • Collaborate closely with our Principal Engineer and Product team to rapidly bring innovative product ideas to life
  • Work on impactful design reviews for cutting-edge systems, championing best-in-class solutions to complex technical challenges
  • Continuously expand your expertise by mastering the latest technologies and driving innovation within our engineering team

Does this sound like you? 

  • You're a Software Engineer with a solid understanding of building production-quality web applications in TypeScript or JavaScript 
  • You’re comfortable working across the backend and frontend 
  • You have experience with the planning, development and deployment of large parts of a Node.js-based system

Key Details: 

  • Location: This role could either be based in either our Edinburgh office or London HQ and would be a hybrid role (working from both the office & remotely) 
  • Salary: £50,000 - 70,000
  • Start date: ASAP 

Interview Process: 

  • Initial call: Initial 30-minute Zoom call with our Senior Talent Partner 
  • 1st round: Technical test followed by a technical interview 
  • Final round: Values & culture interview and final meeting with our Platform CEO
