What to expect:
As a Contracts Manager at Broadsign, you’ll play a key role in the Legal & Contract Management team, helping drive efficiency and ensuring smooth legal operations. If you thrive on collaboration, have experience reviewing, negotiating and coordinating contracts and are passionate about process improvement and legal technology, this role is for you.
You’ll contribute to enhancements in our contract workflows including support for scalable tools and technologies that improve visibility and turnaround times. You'll report to the Director, Legal & Contract Management, and work closely with teams across Sales, Finance, and other departments.
Job Responsibilities:
- Managing the full contract lifecycle: This includes reviewing and assisting with negotiations for customer, partner, and vendor agreements, as well as handling all associated administrative tasks like activity tracking, signature approval, and filing.
- Collaborating for efficient contract finalization: You'll work closely with internal teams to streamline contract reviews and ensure agreements are finalized in a timely manner.
- Optimizing contract processes and tools: You'll review and improve existing templates, support training and negotiation resources for our Sales and Account Management teams, and evaluate new tools to enhance efficiency.
- Providing global contract support: You'll deliver excellent internal customer service, promptly addressing all contract management requests and ensuring our business goals are met.
- Monitoring and reporting on contract activities: You'll track activities, report on progress through relevant metrics, and analyze negotiation data to identify trends for template updates and improved turnaround times.
- Driving continuous improvement: You'll support the evaluation and implementation of contract management tools and systems to enhance visibility, efficiency, and scalability, including opportunities to leverage automation where appropriate.
- Serving as a key legal resource: You'll be a responsive, practical-minded legal professional across the organization, collaborating with all functional areas on vendor agreement reviews and process improvements.
- Ensuring compliance and proper documentation: You'll maintain accurate records of executed agreements, update procedures and tools, and support proper distribution and archiving of contractual documents.
What you need to perform in this job:
- A degree in law, or a combination of legal education and relevant contract management experience in the software industry, with strong commercial awareness and the ability to understand broader business and financial implications of contract terms.
- 3–5 years of experience in contract management, including reviewing and negotiating a variety of agreements (e.g., customer, partner, vendor), ideally in a technology or software environment.
- Experience working with contract management tools, and an interest in automation and AI-supported legal processes.
- Strong (internal and external) customer service skills.
- Strong business and financial acumen, with the ability to understand how contract terms impact broader commercial objectives.
- A collaborative mindset, the ability to learn quickly and to work cross-functionally with commercial, technical, and other stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Enthusiasm for process improvement and seeing change in action.
- A good understanding and knowledge of contract structure and legal principles.
- French or any additional languages are an asset.

Knowledge of French is required for positions permanently located in Quebec so incumbents can communicate with their colleagues and partners in Quebec as necessary. French-language training is offered to all incumbents in permanent positions in Quebec who do not have a good knowledge of French. Fluent English is required for this position in order to communicate with colleagues, clients and partners (or suppliers) located outside Quebec and to understand the technical and scientific documentation used in our industry.
