Technical Support Specialist (Programmatic)

Europe (Remote)

Location: Europe (Remote)

About Us

Broadsign is a growing software company with a mission to make buying, selling, and delivering out-of-home media easier than ever. Our software is operated by some of the most successful out-of-home businesses and powers impactful, compelling campaigns seen across the world.
Are you looking to join a Global Tech leader? Then we have an exciting opportunity for you in Europe (Remote).

About the Role

The Technical Specialist (Programmatic) role is predominantly data-centric. Sitting at the heart of millions of daily transactions, you will scrutinize constant flows of information to solve complex problems. In this role, manipulating data at scale is inseparable from coding; you aren't just a syntax expert, but a problem-solver who understands data structures and algorithms to improve our infrastructure and drive business efficiency.

What to Expect

In this role, you are at the heart of our programmatic ecosystem, where success is defined by your ability to find clarity within massive datasets. You will sit in the middle of millions of daily transactions, scrutinizing constant flows of information to solve high-stakes technical problems. Because we operate at such a significant scale, your daily work involves more than just identifying issues—it requires the ability to build the tools and scripts necessary to fix them. You won't just be using code; you’ll be applying computer science fundamentals and a deep understanding of data structures to ensure our infrastructure remains robust.

You can expect a role that rewards curiosity and creative problem-solving. You will have the autonomy to explore new environments, master concepts through experimentation, and turn "fresh ideas" into practical applications that improve our product. Beyond the technical challenges, this is a highly collaborative role. You will be expected to translate complex technical findings into clear, actionable insights for Product Owners and provide an exemplary level of support to both internal teams and external clients.

You aren't just maintaining a system; you are evolving it by asking: How can I automate this? How can I make this scale? How can I make this better for our customers?

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responding and resolving escalated technical questions from internal and external clients
  • Deliver an outstanding customer service experience
  • Tracking and documenting issues in the case management system
  • Conception/development/maintenance of internal tools and services for use by both the Programmatic Technical Operations team and other teams in the company
  • Maintenance/evolution of Operations back-end infrastructure
  • Skilled in analyzing complex technical problems, utilizing queries and scripts to extract information from large datasets across multiple systems.
  • Knowledge sharing by creating internal/ external documentation and/or deliver trainings to colleagues and teams

What you need to perform in this job

  • College diploma or university degree in an IT-related field (equivalent experience considered).
  • Excellent written and spoken English; other languages are a plus.
  • 2+ years in a Senior/Second-level Support, DataOps, SRE, SysAdmin, or Technical Business Analyst role.
  • Demonstrate impeccable customer service skills by closing cases with a solution or more education (going further than “I can’t reproduce it”).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think “outside the box.”
  • Strong proficiency in SQL (complex queries) and REST APIs.
  • Solid understanding of Linux and Database concepts.
  • Deep understanding of data structures & algorithms. Being able to code is a huge asset.
  • Experience with cloud solutions and familiarity with HTML/JavaScript is preferred.
  • Ability to work remotely in a secluded setting while collaborating virtually.
  • Experience in Programmatic Advertising is an asset, but not required

What we bring to the table

  • Global Wellness: €500 annual Wellness fund for mental/physical health and office-related expenses.
  • Time Off: Competitive vacation package plus 5 floater days.
  • Growth: Training & development opportunities with a yearly budget to support professional growth and 3 paid training days.
  • Support: Unlimited online mental health support through BetterHelp for you and your family.
  • Flexibility: Fully remote work options.
