Director of IT and Technology Solutions

United States – Remote
Employment Type: Full-Time

About Broadway Ventures:

At Broadway Ventures, we transform challenges into opportunities through expert program management, innovative technology solutions, and strategic consulting services. As an 8(a), HUBZone, and Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business, we support government and private sector clients with tailored solutions that improve operations, strengthen compliance, and drive sustainable growth.

Built on integrity, collaboration, and excellence, Broadway Ventures is more than a service provider. We are a trusted partner committed to helping organizations solve complex challenges and achieve mission success.

About the Role:

Broadway Ventures is seeking an experienced Director of IT and Technology Solutions to lead our internal IT strategy, technology infrastructure, cybersecurity compliance, and CMMC readiness initiatives. This is a full-time leadership role ideal for a hands-on IT and cybersecurity professional with strong experience in CMMC implementation, NIST SP 800-171 compliance, federal security requirements, IT infrastructure, cloud environments, and documentation management.

The Director of IT and Technology Solutions will serve as the primary owner of Broadway Ventures’ CMMC readiness and certification efforts. This includes assessing current systems, identifying compliance gaps, implementing required controls, developing and maintaining key documentation, coordinating internal resources, and ensuring audit readiness.

In addition to CMMC leadership, this role will help strengthen and modernize Broadway Ventures’ technology environment, support secure and scalable IT operations, and provide strategic guidance on systems, tools, policies, and processes that support the company’s continued growth.

The selected candidate will have administrative and documentation support, as well as limited part-time technical assistance from internal employees. However, overall ownership of system implementation, process development, compliance execution, documentation oversight, and successful completion of the CMMC certification effort will fall under this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Broadway Ventures’ CMMC implementation, readiness, and ongoing compliance efforts.
  • Oversee internal IT strategy, technology solutions, cybersecurity practices, and infrastructure improvements.
  • Conduct gap assessments against CMMC, NIST SP 800-171, and applicable federal cybersecurity requirements.
  • Develop, update, and maintain the System Security Plan, Plan of Action and Milestones, policies, procedures, and supporting compliance documentation.
  • Implement, document, and validate required security controls across systems, users, devices, networks, and cloud environments.
  • Strengthen and secure IT infrastructure, including identity and access management, endpoint security, Microsoft 365/Azure, network security, and cloud-based systems.
  • Evaluate current technology systems and recommend improvements to enhance security, efficiency, scalability, and compliance.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance requirements are understood, tracked, and completed.
  • Manage implementation timelines, task ownership, documentation requests, and evidence collection.
  • Prepare the organization for CMMC assessments, audits, and ongoing compliance reviews.
  • Provide guidance on cybersecurity best practices for federal contracting and compliance environments.
  • Support ongoing monitoring, maintenance, and improvement of security controls and compliance documentation.
  • Work with internal support staff to delegate documentation, scheduling, follow-up, and select implementation tasks as appropriate.
  • Serve as the primary technical and compliance lead to ensure Broadway Ventures is positioned to successfully achieve and maintain CMMC certification.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in IT administration, systems administration, cybersecurity, compliance, or a related technology leadership role.
  • Direct experience with CMMC implementation, CMMC readiness, or NIST SP 800-171 compliance.
  • Experience developing, maintaining, or contributing to System Security Plans and POA&Ms.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity controls, compliance frameworks, audit readiness, and federal security requirements.
  • Experience securing Microsoft 365, Azure, or similar cloud-based environments.
  • Knowledge of identity and access management, endpoint protection, network security, cloud security, and IT infrastructure best practices.
  • Ability to translate compliance requirements into practical, actionable implementation steps.
  • Strong project management, communication, documentation, and stakeholder coordination skills.
  • Ability to work independently, take ownership of complex initiatives, and lead implementation efforts with limited oversight.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with CMMC Level 2 or higher.
  • Experience supporting ISSO functions or responsibilities.
  • Familiarity with the CMMI certification process.
  • Experience working with DoD, federal contractors, or regulated government environments.
  • Experience with governance, risk, compliance, security monitoring, or vulnerability management tools.
  • Relevant certifications such as Security+, CISSP, CISM, CCP, CCA, or equivalent credentials.
  • Experience leading IT modernization, cybersecurity improvement, or compliance-driven technology initiatives.

Support Structure:

The Director of IT and Technology Solutions will have support from Broadway Ventures team members for documentation, organization, scheduling, follow-up, and select implementation tasks. In addition, internal employees may be available on a limited part-time basis to assist with specific technical or administrative needs.

However, this role will be expected to own and drive the overall CMMC effort, including system implementation, process development, documentation oversight, stakeholder coordination, evidence collection, and project management through successful certification.

Work Schedule:

This is a full-time remote position. The role will require consistent availability to lead IT, cybersecurity, compliance, and implementation efforts, coordinate with internal stakeholders, and support the organization through CMMC readiness, certification, and ongoing compliance maintenance.

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
