Seasonal: Sales Associate (Part-Time) (Washington DC)

Overview

Our team is getting ready for the holiday season, and we’re looking for additional support. As a Seasonal Sales Associate, you’ll be responsible for providing outstanding customer service and helping create a warm and inviting shopping experience for our customers. You’ll have the chance to work at our Washington DC location, ensuring our customers receive exceptional support during the bustling holiday season. 

If you're enthusiastic about providing top-notch service, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere, and contributing to a growing brand, this is the perfect role for you!

Please note that this is a seasonal contract role. In this role, you’re expected to be able to work from the week of Thanksgiving, including “Black Friday” (the day after US Thanksgiving), and the following weeks until the end 1/31. We’re looking for someone to work up to 29 hours a week, but most likely around 20 hours consistently.

Potential eligibility to join Brooklinen as a permanent employee after the seasonal term.

What you’ll do

  • Ensure an exceptional customer experience is delivered 100% of the time
  • Act as a Brooklinen brand ambassador, always putting the customer first  
  • Engage with loyal customers IRL and form new customer relationships
  • Educate customers on our product assortment, brand history, and value proposition
  • Work in the back of house to receive and organize inventory
  • Assist with the visual merchandising of the store and product
  • Support the planning and execution of in-store special events

We're looking for someone with

  • 0-3 years of experience in a retail (or service-oriented) environment
  • The ability to communicate clearly, confidently, and enthusiastically
  • Strong judgment and a service- and solution-oriented approach
  • The ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, holidays, and weekend shifts
  • Someone who is passionate, inclusive, and positive
  • The ability to stand for long periods of time, physically move products and lift up to 20 pounds

Compensation & Benefits 

The compensation for this role is $19/hour.
