Global Logistics Associate

Wilmington, MA

We’re leading the way in redefining the workwear category. Our mission is to engineer better boots and apparel for our country’s tradesmen and women by working directly with real workers to learn what they actually need to execute their jobs.

The BRUNT team is not only devoted to improving on the old workwear standards, but we’re also creating a community that tradesmen and women can call their own. From our weekly hangouts at the BRUNT Garage, to hosting events across the country, we’re all about getting boots on the ground and building something real with the BRUNT crew.

What You'll Do

The Global Logistics Associate will support the day-to-day execution of BRUNT’s inbound and domestic logistics operations. This role is responsible for daily execution tasks including booking trucking appointments, maintaining accurate inbound records, tracking shipments, coordinating retail transfers, assisting with invoice verification, and supporting major customer container programs like Boot Barn.

Working closely under the direction of the Associate Director, Global Logistics, this role partners with freight forwarders, carriers, customs brokers, and warehouse teams to ensure shipments are booked, tracked, documented, and closed accurately across systems.

This role is ideal for an organized, detail-oriented operator who thrives in a fast-paced environment, excels at clear communication, and takes pride in data accuracy and task follow-through.

How You'll Do It

Transportation & Shipment Execution

  • Book and manage routine trucking appointments for inbound containers, shipments, and retail transfers in coordination with carriers, freight forwarders, and 3PL warehouse teams.
  • Track inbound and domestic shipments from booking to delivery, updating key milestones, appointment details, and status changes in internal trackers.
  • Monitor carrier SLAs, identify delayed shipments or missed appointments, and promptly escalate risks to the Senior Global Logistics Associate and cross-functional teams.
  • Serve as the primary execution coordinator for the Boot Barn container program, following routing guidelines and ensuring required documentation is accurately logged.
  • Maintain complete, organized digital shipment files, including bills of lading (BOLs), delivery orders, appointment confirmations, and proof of delivery (POD).

Systems, Data & Inbound Records

  • Create and maintain Advance Shipping Notices (ASNs) and inbound records across systems, ensuring PO numbers, item quantities, and delivery dates match master records.
  • Daily maintenance of the 3PL inbound tracking system and internal reporting tools with accurate milestone dates and receiving status.
  • Compare inbound documents against forwarder and warehouse records; flag and investigate discrepancies before inventory is received.
  • Assist in researching variances between expected and actual received inventory alongside 3PL teams, Warehouse, and Inventory Planning.
  • Prepare daily and weekly routine shipment and delivery exception reports for internal logistics updates.

Financial & Customs Administration

  • Review and line-item match logistics and freight invoices against rate sheets, quotes, and proof of service to identify obvious errors or duplicate charges for Finance review.
  • Gather, organize, and archive shipping documentation required for customs entries, duty filings, and first-sale recordkeeping.
  • Ensure all invoices, customs filings, and payment confirmations are accurately indexed in audit-ready digital folders.

Retail Transfers & Samples

  • Execute retail inventory transfers from initial request logging through warehouse release, carrier scheduling, tracking, and final system closure.
  • Partner with Retail, Planning, and 3PL teams to provide timely status updates on retail transfer shipments until product reaches stores.
  • Monitor inbound product samples from dispatch to delivery, following up on delayed or missing packages with carriers.
  • Log received sample contents against packing slips and flag shortages, damages, or mis-picks to internal partners.

Operations & Process Improvement

  • Build strong, responsive day-to-day working relationships with carriers, forwarders, and warehouse contacts.
  • Help compile operational metrics (e.g., on-time delivery, ASN accuracy) used by senior leadership for carrier scorecard reviews.
  • Follow established standard operating procedures and assist in drafting updated task checklists as workflows evolve.
  • Highlight recurring data errors or logistics bottlenecks to help senior team members develop corrective action plans.

What You Need to Succeed

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; equivalent operational experience considered.
  • 1–3 years of experience in logistics, transportation, supply chain, or retail operations (relevant internship/co-op experience counts).
  • Meticulous approach to record-keeping, data entry, and system organization.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills with a confident approach to following up with external vendors and internal teams.
  • Curious mindset with an ability to identify discrepancies between documents, ask the right questions, and escalate issues when needed.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (vlookups, basic pivot tables) and Google Workspace.
  • Prior experience with ERPs (NetSuite preferred), Shopify, 3PL portals, or Transportation Management Systems (TMS) is a strong plus.
