We are looking for a talented and experienced individual to join our team as the Senior Accountant.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
The Senior Accountant will play a key role in supporting financial integrity and decision-making by leading complex accounting processes, maintaining robust internal controls, and driving continuous improvements in financial reporting. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate cross-functionally, streamline processes, and contribute to the organization’s strategic goals.
WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR (Essential Functions)

- Understand acceptable variance thresholds and proactively investigate discrepancies
- Research new situations, apply accounting judgment, and make informed recommendations
- Make recommendations based on analysis of reserves, assets, and expenditures
- Document and monitor internal controls in support of audit readiness
- Implement checks and balances to prevent errors and ensure the integrity of financial information
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation within accounting workflows
- Perform complex account reconciliations and ensure alignment with GAAP standards
- Pull supporting reports and schedules; interpret and analyze financial statements
- Coordinate complex accounting projects and initiatives across departments
- Execute month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities
- Demonstrate advanced knowledge of financial statements, trend analysis, and cash flow modeling
- Manage sales commission calculations, reporting, and preparation of compensation statements
- Assist with quarterly and annual audit preparation
- Perform other accounting duties as assigned
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED (Required Education and Experience)
- Meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to meet multiple deadlines; occasional overtime or weekend work may be required during close cycles
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex financial concepts for non-accountants
- Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively with various levels of employees
- Ability to manage priorities, meet deadlines, and set individual goals autonomously
- Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset
- Proficiency with accounting systems; experience with NetSuite is a plus
- Advanced Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, lookups, data modeling, charts, index/match, SUMIF(s), COUNTIF(s), nesting formulas, CONCATENATE, IFs, RIGHT, LEFT, MID)
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, math, business administration, or a related field
- More than 8 years of general accounting experience, either in a public accounting firm or private corporate environment
NICE TO HAVE (Preferred Education and Experience)
- CPA or CMA certification strongly preferred

Specific benefit offerings vary by position and may be subject to change.
Standard working hours are 8am-5pm Central Time, unless otherwise stated in the Job Description.
In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share the base salary range for this position is $75,000-$90,000, exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses. If you are hired at bswift, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience. In addition to those factors – we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future & continued salary growth. We also offer a generous compensation and benefits package!
