The EDI Analyst II plays a key role in ensuring the accuracy, reliability, and timely delivery of data integrations between bswift and its carrier and vendor partners. This position supports EDI Associates, EDI Operations Managers, and Directors by managing configuration, testing, validation, and troubleshooting of complex file interfaces. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical and technical skills, a deep understanding of EDI data flows, and a commitment to maintaining operational excellence in support of bswift’s clients and channel partners.
This is an in-office role in our Bangalore location. The working hours will be in the range of 10:30am – 7:30pm IST, Monday through Friday.
This role is a critical link between technical execution and client satisfaction—responsible for maintaining data accuracy, driving continuous improvement, and supporting automation and process scalability within the EDI ecosystem.
What you’ll do:
EDI Configuration & File Management
- Configure and maintain data feeds within bswift’s EDI platform (FeedBuilder) based on client plan designs and carrier/vendor file specifications.
- Execute full lifecycle management of interfaces, including setup, mapping, testing, validation, and deployment.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure EDI solutions align with client and carrier requirements.
- Support routine maintenance processes including archival, PGP key management, file replacement, and data integrity checks.
Testing, QA & Issue Resolution
- Perform detailed file testing (QA and UAT) to ensure accuracy of eligibility and enrollment data transmissions.
- Partner with EDI Operations and Client Services to perform root cause analysis (RCA) for file or data discrepancies; document and communicate findings clearly in Salesforce.
- Lead daily monitoring of file transmissions and failure queues to identify and resolve issues before client impact.
- Support quarterly product releases by executing validation testing and production verification to confirm file integrity post-deployment.
Technical & Analytical Expertise
- Apply knowledge of data mapping, file structures, and EDI transaction logic to design and troubleshoot complex integrations.
- Leverage intermediate Excel and basic SQL querying skills to audit data, perform reconciliations, and validate file outputs.
- Identify patterns and recurring issues to propose automation or configuration improvements that enhance reliability and efficiency.
Collaboration & Communication
- Act as a liaison between technical and non-technical stakeholders—translating business requirements into actionable EDI specifications.
- Communicate proactively with internal teams regarding file status, delivery timelines, and issue resolution progress.
- Partner with Client Services to ensure clients are informed, supported, and confident in the accuracy and stability of their data transmissions.
- Collaborate across EDI, Implementation, and Product teams to share best practices and drive process consistency.
Process Ownership & Continuous Improvement
- Demonstrate ownership of assigned client feeds and drive accountability for on-time, accurate delivery.
- Identify process enhancements and opportunities for automation or system improvements within FeedBuilder or related workflows.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation on client-specific configuration requirements and transmission details.
- Contribute to team knowledge sharing through peer review, training, and continuous learning.
Required Qualifications:
- Proficiency in MS Office products, including MS Excel
- Proficiency creating common keys across datasets in different formats (i.e. CONCATENATE function) to use for data analysis
- Proficiency using functions to normalize data (LEFT, RIGHT, LEN, TRIM, etc.
- Proficiency using functions for data analysis (VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, IFERROR, etc.)
- Proficiency using Pivot Tables to summarize data analysis
- Exceptional English writing skills for clarity, conciseness
- Ability to think creatively and outside the box.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or Business; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2–4 years of experience in EDI, data integration, or HRIS systems.
- Experience with bswift system.
- Experience with SFTP, PGP encryption, and automated file delivery workflows preferred.
- Prior experience working with Salesforce.
- Experience with U.S. benefits administration system and/or payroll.
