We are seeking an EDI Payroll Analyst II to support and operate production EDI and fulfillment data processes as part of our global delivery model.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
The primary objective of the Integration Support (IST) / EDI Payroll Analyst II role is to support the execution, monitoring, and stabilization of payroll data integrations. This role is responsible for independently managing payroll files, performing audits and reconciliations, supporting Tier II issue analysis, and partnering across IST, EDI, and Engineering teams to ensure accurate payroll delivery.
This role begins with core IST payroll analyst responsibilities and expands into deeper technical support, including SQL analysis and review of .NET-based payroll logic.
This role is based in Bangalore and supports U.S.-based Fulfillment and EDI operations.
WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR (Essential Functions)
- Independently manage assigned payroll files and payroll-related integrations, ensuring accurate and timely delivery
- Review inbound and outbound payroll files to validate data accuracy, completeness, and alignment with client requirements
- Perform payroll audits, reconciliations, and data integrity checks across systems
- Identify payroll discrepancies and partner with IST Operations, Client Services, and EDI teams to drive resolution
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for payroll issues and clearly document findings and outcomes
- Utilize SQL to analyze payroll data, validate outputs, and support defect investigation
- Review and interpret .NET code related to payroll integrations to understand logic and assist with troubleshooting (coding not required initially)
- Support testing efforts including unit testing, integration testing, and production validation
- Proactively communicate risks, issues, and status updates to stakeholders
- Create and maintain process documentation, runbooks, and payroll file logic documentation
- Participate in cross training across IST and EDI teams to support workload balancing and volume surges
- Partner with Engineering, Product, EDI, and Operations teams to resolve escalations
- Identify opportunities to improve data quality, reduce defects, and increase automation and efficiency
- Support high-volume payroll cycles, including Annual Enrollment (AE)
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED (Required Education and Experience)
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- 2+ years of experience supporting payroll processing, data integrations, or production operations
- Experience supporting payroll files, benefits administration, or HR technology environments
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Experience working in production environments with defined SLAs and critical processing windows
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
NICE TO HAVE (Preferred Experience)
- Working knowledge of SQL for data validation and analysis
- Exposure to .NET code or payroll integration logic
- Experience supporting file-based integrations (flat files, CSV, XML)
- Familiarity with SFTP, PGP encryption, or automated file delivery workflows
- Experience working in a global delivery model supporting U.S.-based teams and time zones
