Role Description

The Senior FX & Interest Rates Trader is responsible for proprietary trading and portfolio risk management within the mandates of the FICC Macro Colombia desk. The role is expected to drive revenue generation and contribute to the achievement of the desk's annual financial targets through the deployment of market views, risk-taking strategies, and effective portfolio management.

Key responsibilities include overseeing the pricing, structuring, execution, and risk management of client transactions and hedging activities across foreign exchange and interest rate products, with a strong focus on derivatives. The individual will actively identify, develop, and capitalize on trading opportunities in both local and global markets while maintaining a disciplined risk management framework.

The role also requires close collaboration with Sales, Banking,  Risk, and Operations teams to deliver best-in-class client execution, enhance market competitiveness, and improve the desk's operational efficiency.

Work Activities / Tasks

Develop, execute, and actively manage tactical and strategic trading positions across FX and Interest Rate markets, with a strong focus on derivatives, to generate sustainable risk-adjusted returns and contribute to the desk's profitability.

Provide timely and competitive pricing to intermediation and sales desks, ensuring effective risk transfer and maximizing bid-ask spread capture across a broad range of FICC products.

Design and implement trading and hedging strategies to efficiently manage client and market-driven flows, optimize risk utilization, and support the continued growth of the franchise business.

Essential Education

Undergraduate degree.  CFA or Master Degree Required. Minimum 6yrs experience in IRFX markets is required. Experience with FX Derivatives (NDF, Options) is a plus as well as Cross Currency Swaps.
