Investment Banking, Associate, Private Capital Advisory
Job Purpose:
BTIG is seeking an Investment Banking Associate to join its Private Capital Advisory team in our New York office. This role is suited for a highly analytical, execution-oriented professional with strong accounting fundamentals, advanced financial modeling capabilities, and transaction experience across private growth capital and M&A advisory. The Associate will play a central role in day-to-day deal execution, development of board-level materials, and coordination across internal and external stakeholders to drive successful outcomes for clients.

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Support transaction execution across private capital and M&A advisory mandates, including process management, diligence coordination, and client deliverables.
- Build, maintain, and audit financial models, including operating models, valuation analyses (DCF, public comps, precedent transactions), and transaction/returns scenarios as applicable.
- Apply strong accounting and financial statement analysis to diligence and valuation workstreams (e.g., assessing earnings quality considerations, working capital dynamics, and key financial adjustments).
- Develop board-level and executive-level discussion materials, including strategic alternatives presentations, transaction updates, valuation support, and key decision frameworks.
- Prepare and refine marketing and transaction materials (e.g., teasers, CIMs, management presentations, investor outreach materials) with a high standard of accuracy and polish.
- Manage multiple priorities and timelines simultaneously, partnering closely with senior bankers while coordinating effectively with analysts and other junior team members.
- Interface with clients and third parties (legal, accounting, consultants) to support information flow, diligence requests, and overall transaction momentum.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Must have 3+ years of Investment Banking or Equity Research experience
- An undergraduate degree in finance or economics
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to effectively manage multiple simultaneous project deadlines
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
- Familiarity with Capital IQ, Pitchbook, and Bloomberg
- Ability to work well in teams
- Excellent analytical, modeling, and interpersonal skills
- Solid work ethic and superior attention to detail
- CFA is highly preferred

Compensation:
- BTIG offers a competitive compensation and benefits package. Salary range is based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, location, years of applicable experience, skills, qualifications, licensure and certifications, and other business and organization needs.
- The current estimated base salary range for this role is $170,000.00 - $190,000.00 per year. Please note that certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation such as discretionary bonus or overtime.
