Agricultural Equipment Technician

We are looking for a skilled Agricultural Equipment Technician to maintain, repair, and service a wide range of farm machinery and agricultural infrastructure. This role is essential to ensuring that equipment is operational, safe, and performing efficiently to support uninterrupted farm production.

The ideal candidate will bring hands-on mechanical expertise, a strong safety mindset, and the ability to diagnose and resolve equipment issues quickly to minimize downtime during critical planting and harvesting windows.

Key Responsibilities
• Inspect, diagnose, and repair agricultural equipment including tractors, combines, planters, sprayers, and irrigation systems
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on all farm machinery according to manufacturer specifications
• Maintain accurate service logs, parts inventory, and maintenance records for all equipment
• Coordinate with farm operations staff to schedule equipment maintenance around planting and harvest cycles
• Identify and procure replacement parts, coordinating with vendors to minimize equipment downtime
• Ensure all equipment meets safety standards and that operators are briefed on proper usage protocols
• Support the installation and commissioning of new agricultural equipment and infrastructure

Requirements
• High school diploma or GED; associate degree or vocational certification in Agricultural Mechanics preferred
• 3+ years of hands-on experience servicing and repairing farm equipment
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools and hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams
• Valid driver's license and ability to operate farm equipment

Preferred Qualifications
• Manufacturer certification from John Deere, Case IH, AGCO, or equivalent
• Experience with precision agriculture technology including GPS guidance and variable rate application systems
• Knowledge of OSHA agricultural safety regulations
