Senior Infrastructure Engineer - Central Tech

As a Senior Software Engineer on our Central Tech Infrastructure team, you will work on distributed build systems, bug processing pipelines, and automated testing services. You will be part of our Central Tech team, working closely with our game teams to improve their workflows and deliver content to players. With mentorship from our experts, you will continue to learn to tackle the unique challenges of continuously delivering live service games to our dedicated players.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design, build, test, and maintain production-quality code
  • Repair and improve existing complex systems while minimizing regression risks
  • Collaborate daily with your team to create robust, performant, and maintainable solutions
  • Help translate team goals into clear, actionable plans
  • Participate in a support rotation, during office hours, to ensure seamless operation of live service games

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Expertise in writing code in C#
  • Deep understanding of distributed systems architecture and best practices
  • Ability to conceptualize and troubleshoot large, proprietary systems and pipelines
  • Proficiency in writing SQL queries and stored procedures
  • Ability to conceptualize and troubleshoot large systems and pipelines
  • Ability to effectively communicate with customers from diverse technical and non-technical backgrounds

NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS

  • Hands-on experience building dynamic/responsive web apps in React or similar front-end frameworks
  • Experience managing or mentoring other engineers or leading technical projects

At SIE, we consider several factors when setting each role’s base pay range, including the competitive benchmarking data for the market and geographic location. 

Please note that the base pay range may vary in line with our hybrid working policy and individual base pay will be determined based on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.

This is a flexible role that can be remote, with varying pay ranges based on geographic location. For example, if you are based out of Seattle, the estimated base pay range for this role is listed below.
