As a Senior UI Engineer at Bungie, you will be directly involved in enabling our creative teams to bring elegant UI designs to life, empowering them to craft incredible player experiences.  Additionally, you’ll bring a passion for growing the skills and capabilities of engineering peers and more junior staff.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Build and maintain production-quality C++ code
  • Work closely with the members of the UI/UX disciplines to bring their visions to life
  • Collaborate with designers and engineers across diverse teams to create, maintain, and extend UI systems and features
  • Leverage and extend our in-house user interface engine and related tools
  • Directly manage 1-2 engineers, providing support, mentorship, constructive feedback, and career development guidance

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Professional C/C++ coding experience
  • Experience developing user interfaces and interface systems for console and/or PC games
  • Enthusiasm for the user experience and its relation to software
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers of different technical and non-technical backgrounds to build features and achieve goals

NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS

  • Experience leading (managing, mentoring, or guiding) engineers through planning, developing, and shipping
  • Prior console development experience
Listed below is this role's base pay range. In other locations that Bungie has approved for remote work, this pay range may be adjusted up to +/- 10% and some roles may be classified as non-exempt (hourly). 

This range is determined by an array of factors, including training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, and market demands. Additionally, it is subject to change and may be modified in the future.

Bellevue Pay Range

$156,000 - $183,000 USD

Most Bungie full-time employees will adopt a digital first approach allowing remote work in Bungie approved locations (outside of positions identified as 100% onsite in Bellevue/Seattle, or individuals preferring a hybrid/flex environment).
