Destiny Principal Producer - Franchise Marketing

Hybrid / Bungie-Approved Remote Locations

Bungie is looking for a Principal Producer, Destiny 2 Franchise Marketing to lead the publishing operations for Destiny 2, working to ensure timely, on-budget, and high-quality go-to-market releases. 

This role will guide the marketing resource management, establish operational best practices, and drive cross-functional alignment within Bungie and PlayStation to support Destiny 2’s go-to-market (GTM) strategy. This position demands a high proficiency of project management methodologies, a deep level of strategic decision-making and the ability to navigate complex collaborative efforts. 

This role reports to the Franchise Marketing Director of Destiny 2 and will be the single primary contact responsible for the game’s publishing production.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead, develop, and continuously improve rituals and process for building, approving (RAPIDs) and executing the GTM
  • Collaborate with the Bungie media team, PlayStation and external agencies to ensure the GTM is properly resourced to meet goals and timelines.
  • Act as the primary contact and owner for the GTM release roadmap, associated project boards, and workback planning. Manages change for internal and external teams.
  • Create and maintain GTM forecasting across marketing, production, and finance pipelines.
  • Lead the Request for Proposal (RFP) process in collaboration with PlayStation Creative Studios and manage the contract approval process.
  • Organize retrospectives across GTM disciplines analyzing success and organizing findings into executive summaries for leadership.
  • Budget Management
  • Lead capacity planning for internal teams and external creative partners, balancing workloads and aligning resources with project budgets to ensure efficient execution and cost management.
  • Collaborate with the Go-to-Market lead to define and validate budgets for all beats and assets within the GTM for Concept Phase approval
  • Collaborate with Finance to draft, administer, and track the Publishing budget on an annual, quarterly, and monthly basis
  • Act as the primary owner of franchise marketing budget requests, maintaining the source of truth for the budget and greenlighting projects that are aligned with stakeholders and within budget
  • Foster strong relationships among Development, Publishing and PlayStation teams, advocating for the GTM’s needs and ensuring alignment, collaboration, and resolving conflict as needed
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with Bungie and PlayStation publishing disciplines
  • Hold internal and external teams accountable to the GTM strategy and tactical plans, addressing issues as they arise and escalating when necessary.
  • Proactively identify and resolve misalignments and gaps across Publishing groups.
  • Escalate portfolio resourcing conflicts (D2 and Goliath) and risks to Marketing Leaders.
  • Serve as a key stakeholder in the Destiny 2 Franchise Marketing Team, ensuring the project aligns with Bungie’s overall portfolio strategy.
  • Facilitate knowledge exchange between dedicated and shared teams to leverage expertise and drive continuous improvement.

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Proven leadership experience in AAA games publishing.
  • Strong production skills, with the capacity to identify and implement new collaboration, evaluation, and risk-mitigation processes.
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of all production pipelines, ensuring seamless integration and coordination across departments to drive efficient project delivery.
  • Ability to evaluate and balance opposing creative, schedule, and business needs.
  • Expertise in navigating ambiguity and leading teams in dynamic environments.
  • Exceptional communication skills across all organizational levels.
  • Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and high EQ
Listed below is this role's base pay range. In other locations that Bungie has approved for remote work, this pay range may be adjusted up to +/- 10% and some roles may be classified as non-exempt (hourly). 

This range is determined by an array of factors, including training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, and market demands. Additionally, it is subject to change and may be modified in the future.

Bellevue Pay Range

$180,000 - $213,000 USD
