
Contract Marathon Senior Communications Manager

In this role, you’ll work with the marketing and development teams to create, align on, and execute strategic communications for Marathon. This person will partner with individuals on cross-functional teams to support community, social, brand, and press executions in support of GTM goals. A leader in communications, they know how to tell stories and inspire diverse audiences—both internally to the team and externally to players, across local and international regions. Skilled with both strategy and execution, this person will be responsible for a variety of written communications, including copywriting, developer video outlines, and news articles.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate with Bungie’s development teams and publishing group to develop, manage, and execute strategic communications plans for Marathon
- Build trust with players worldwide by being an advocate internally and creating authentic and transparent communication for players in partnership with our marketing and community teams
- Write communications and copy for a variety of platforms, leveraging Marathon’s brand and voice guidelines
- Drive content and messaging for developer and other communications, including livestreams, developer videos, and marketing campaign assets
- Support effective internal communications across cross-functional teams to drive organizational effectiveness
REQUIRED SKILLS
- 6+ years of experience in gaming, technology, or entertainment companies in a community or communications role
- Experience working in a communications capacity in a live service game environment
- Experience with copywriting and external communications
- Experience finding proactive and creative solutions to unplanned challenges and changing objectives
- High level of organization with excellent time-management skills
- Deep familiarity with live game franchises and their respective online player communities; bonus points for first person shooters and extraction games

Bellevue Pay Range
$121,000 - $143,000 USD

Most Bungie full-time employees will adopt a digital first approach allowing remote work in Bungie approved locations (outside of positions identified as 100% onsite in Bellevue/Seattle, or individuals preferring a hybrid/flex environment).
