Bridge Inspection Project Manager

Lead critical bridge inspection projects that keep communities connected and safe as Bridge Inspection Project Manager in Arizona. This role goes beyond traditional project management; you'll combine hands-on bridge inspection expertise with strategic leadership, managing diverse contracts from simple span structures to complex long-span bridges while building strong client partnerships and mentoring high-performing teams. You'll take full ownership of projects that meet rigorous NBIS standards and SNBI requirements, drive business development, and make a measurable impact on infrastructure that serves millions.

What You'll Do

  • Lead bridge inspection projects for local municipalities, ADOT, and other transportation agencies
  • Develop, monitor, and maintain project costs, milestones, and deliverables
  • Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory permitting requirements
  • Develop and track client proposals including scope development, technical and price proposals, and letters-of-interest
  • Identifies new markets, develops leads & opportunities, performs business development activities, and pursues new geographies across the desert southwest 
  • Develop and/or strengthen relationships with potential clients and teaming partners
  • Apply comprehensive knowledge of applicable Codes and Standards for bridge inspection and assessment
  • Champion quality assurance and quality control processes to ensure accurate, reliable inspection deliverables
  • Prepare budgets, schedules, and risk assessments while identifying potential project challenges.
  • Foster strong collaboration and professional development within your team
  • Mentor and develop early career bridge inspectors 

Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering from an ABET-accredited program
  • Professional Engineer (PE) in AZ, or eligibility for reciprocal licensure within 6 months 
  • 8+ years of bridge inspection experience with demonstrated project and staff management capabilities
  • Proficiency with AASHTOWare BrM 
  • Strong understanding of NBIS (National Bridge Inspection Standards), SNBI (Specifications for the National Bridge Inventory), and AASHTO guidelines
  • 2-week NHI/FHWA Bridge Inspection certification, NSTM/FC NHI/FHWA certification, SPRAT or IRATA rope access certification, and NHI Tunnel inspection certification are all desired
  • Adaptable and self-motivated with an entrepreneurial mindset as well as a proactive approach to problem solving
  • Servant leader committed to fostering collaboration, innovation, and excellence while developing others
