The Influencer team delivers end-to-end campaigns with influencers and creators to Burson’s vast client roster. The team is focused on embedding our clients into ongoing, authentic conversations driven by influencers that truly build brand reputation, by decoding culture, ensuring resonance, and igniting creativity.
We are looking for a VP to join our Influencer team and be fully dedicated to one of our most-exciting streaming clients. You will be embedded into our Consumer & Brand Practice as your home, with strong connections into our broader Influencer community and its leadership.
Reporting to the Client Lead for our client, this role will be primarily responsible for:
- Leading on earned influencer-first work that centers around entertainment, lifestyle & culture, for campaigns focused in the U.S.
- Working in collaboration with Burson’s client leads for this account, and the client team directly, to develop strategic plans and deliver them from end-to-end.
- Line managing a group of influencer experts, some dedicated, some part-time, who bring specialist influencer skills to the table.
- Collaborating with other teams within Burson to draw on the best talent and deliver excellence for our client; this includes the broader Influencer community and its leadership, our Digital group, the Consumer & Brand Practice, Strategy, Creative and Intelligence.
- Bring fresh, bold ideas to the table consistently, being as involved in ideation as you are in the delivery of the work.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- A true passion for and understanding of the influencer and creator space, emerging digital platforms and how they can be leveraged as part of our clients' strategies.
- Experience with earned influencer work and an understanding of how to reach influencers authentically through an earned-first approach.
- Push boundaries and never accept the status quo when it comes to creative programs, brand campaigns or other marketing initiatives, and have an impact on our influencer offer within the U.S. & Americas.
- A portfolio of case studies you’ve led within the Consumer & Brand space that focuses on music, lifestyle & cultural influencers.
- Existing relationships with music, lifestyle & cultural influencers.
- An understanding of how to plan, execute and measure campaigns throughout the full process, with a solid understanding of creative thinking as it relates to influencers, sourcing, platform dynamics, contracting, payments, tools, amplification through paid, and measurement.
- Managing client relationships, alongside our client leads, and being a trusted partner to them when it comes to influencer work.
- Proactively identify new vendors and tools in the influencer and social spaces where relevant.
- Accurately develop and manage budgets.
- Driving consistency in the way KPI and measurement approaches are used and evolved.
- Acting as an agency champion and ambassador, recruiting and retaining top talent through interviews, onboarding, learning, development, and mentoring.
EXPERIENCE THAT CONTRIBUTES TO SUCCESS
- 10+ years of experience with a focus in the lifestyle & cultural influencer space; agency experience ideal
- Expert in both influencer and creator nuances as it relates to strategy, influencer tiers, and verticals
- Earned influencer experience
- Ability to assess a client's overall marketing mix and develop programs that deliver business objectives
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills along with strong attention to detail

The base salary for this position at the time of this posting may range from $75,000 to $180,000. Individual compensation varies based on job-related factors, including location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications.
