Are you a social media whiz with a passion for cars and a knack for creating engaging content? Do you dream in TikToks, live for Instagram stories, and know the difference between a meme and a viral moment? If so, Burson has the perfect summer internship for you!
We're a leading public relations firm, and we're looking for a talented and enthusiastic Social Media Content Creator & Editor Intern to join our team in Dearborn, Michigan and work on one of our most exciting accounts: Ford Motor Company! This isn't your average internship – you'll be right in the driver's seat, helping to shape the online presence of a brand that's shaping the future of transportation.
What You'll Do:
- Content Creation Powerhouse: Brainstorm, develop, and execute creative social media content ideas across various platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Twitter/X, and potentially emerging platforms). Think eye-catching visuals, compelling captions, and engaging video concepts.
- Video Editing Virtuoso: Transform raw footage into polished, shareable videos using the Adobe Creative Suite. You will add music, graphics, and effects to create visually stunning content.
- Social Media Guru: Stay up-to-date on the latest social media trends, algorithm changes, and best practices. Understand what makes content resonate with different audiences and apply those insights to your work.
- Collaborative Team Player: Work closely with our PR team, the client's marketing team, and other creatives to ensure content aligns with overall brand messaging and campaign goals.
- On-Site Content Capture: Participate in video shoots, capturing behind-the-scenes content and assisting with production.
What You'll Learn:
- Real-World PR Experience: Gain invaluable experience working within a fast-paced public relations environment on a major client account.
- Social Media Mastery: Develop a deep understanding of social media marketing strategies, content creation techniques, and analytics.
- Video Production Skills: Hone your video editing skills and learn how to create engaging video content for social media.
- Automotive Industry Insights: Get an inside look at the automotive industry and learn about the latest trends and innovations.
- Client Communication: Develop your communication and presentation skills through interactions with the client team.
- Teamwork and Collaboration: Learn how to work effectively as part of a team and contribute to a collaborative environment.
Who You Are:
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Film, or a related field.
- A passionate social media user with a strong understanding of different platforms and their audiences.
- Proficient in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Davinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro).
- Creative, innovative, and eager to learn.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- A team player with a positive attitude.
- Bonus points for:
- Experience creating content for automotive brands.
- Photography skills.
- Graphic design skills (Adobe Creative Suite).
