Burson is looking for an Influencer Marketing Account Director to join our team.  

At Burson, influencer marketing is a core piece of our business, and we are seeking someone who is as passionate about this world as we are. 

We’re looking for candidates that are social-first, tapped in, passionate about lifestyle consumer brands and importantly, have experience in client service and account management.  

What you'll do:

  • Support end-to-end influencer strategy and execution helping us achieve maximum impact of the overarching brand story. 
  • Support building annual influencer-first strategies, ideas, and frameworks to clients, draft compelling content for an array of brands with different audience considerations, stay on top of trending content and audience behaviors to inform opportunistic content and strategies. 
  • Manage large volume of influencer campaigns ensuring they are on budget, on time and on strategy with error free project management mindset. 
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key contacts within the influencer space while also ensuring that client/agency relationships exist on multiple levels and grow over time 
  • Overseeing research, identification, negotiation project management and measurement of influencer programs, including paid collaborations, with cross over to event and seeding lists based on strategic plan development from senior team & clients 
  • Review & approve campaign reports by tracking and optimizing organic and paid influencer content, and analyzing to provide actionable insights and opportunities  
  • Keeping on top of emerging social trends, platforms, technologies, and influencers in the Canadian market 
  • Overseeing social media listening and research to identify trends in online conversations and to pinpoint key influencers 
  • In partnership with senior leads educates and shares knowledge with teams on trends and best practices 
  • Manage client relationship and take ownership of client experience 

Experience that contributes to success:

  • 7-10 years’ experience in PR & Influencer relations.  
  • A strategic mindset and deep knowledge in the social media space, including the latest trends.  
  • Client service oriented, able to manage complex scopes of work, multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously.  
  • Proven ability to develop meaningful influencer relationships that result in authentic story-telling that drive impact.  
  • Ability to utilize metrics and insights from various social platforms including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, and other emerging channels for optimization and future plan recommendations 
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
