Sales Manager (Promoter & Events) - Deutschland

📣  A bit about the role.  

We're thrilled to be bringing our fresh dog food to Germany. Butternut Box are looking for a Sales Manager to join the founding team of our brand new market in Germany. Direct (Promoter) Sales has been apart of Butternut Box’s growth journey since 2018, and with successful teams in the UK, Ireland & Benelux, we are excited to launch a Direct Sales team into the German market as well. You’ll be joining a team of other mission-driven people to set-up and grow our German customer base.

We are looking for a hungry and ambitious candidate who is ready to take on the responsibility for all of our Direct Sales activities and will be responsible for delivering on an ambitious growth plan. This will involve building your own team team of Brand Ambassadors (Sales Promoters) from scratch, to meet German dog owners face-to-face at events (including markets, exhibitions and trade shows) so they can smash their sales targets & represent the Brand. Following a successful launch into Berlin, the Sales Manager’s role will develop to managing their own team of regions across the country, looking to build a strategy to hit Butternut’s ambitious growth plans in Germany.

In this role, you can expect to…

  • Build and develop your own team of Brand Ambassadors (Sales Promoters), from scratch.
  • Be ready to sell yourself at first, becoming an expert in selling Butternut, ready to pass on your knowledge to your team.
  • Lead from the front, everyday, and look to build something special.
  • Work directly with the Country manager & the UK Head of Sales to achieve ambitious growth targets.
  • Building close lines of communication with the GB&I & Benelux sales teams, taking shared learnings into the field.
  • Own and optimise your metrics beyond sales.
  • Put the customer first, ensuring every customer leaves with a smile on their face.

👋 A bit about you:

  • 2-5 years experience in (Direct / Field / Promoter / Events) Sales & Sales Training. Bonus if that experience sits in the D2C (Direct to Consumer) industry.
  • Fluent or native German speaker. You must also be able to speak fluent or native English too. 
  • A proven track record leading and developing a team with 3+ members, and successfully helping them grow and improve.
  • Reporting comes as second nature to you - excellent Excel / Google sheets / Looker skills.
  • Exceptional communication skills. Feeling comfortable talking to all members of the internal business as well as customers.
  • The ability to remain calm under pressure and someone the team looks to for advice when times get tough.
  • Have a passion for dogs 🐶 
  • Full Drivers License
