Events Coordinator

London

This role historically receives a high volume of applications, so to help us identify the best candidate for our squad, we truly appreciate cover letters that showcase your passion for the role, our mission, and of course - cats 🐱 and dogs 🐶

 A bit about the role:

You will be joining our fast-paced and fast-growing Sales Operations Team, forming part of the wider Direct Sales department, whose main focus is to generate sales for the wider business through a variety of different channels. One of these key channels is Events; we attend hundreds each year to meet new potential customers for Butternut Box and Marro.

We are looking for an Events Coordinator to scope out new event opportunities for both brands. In this role, you will plan and coordinate an events roadmap to help the department achieve consistent growth and top-level event execution. You will work closely with our team of Events Coordinators, collaborate with our Regional Sales Managers in London and the North, and provide top-tier support to our on-the-ground Brand Ambassadors.

Additionally, you will research and book new activations that our brands could have a presence at, such as high streets, shopping centres and garden centres, finding new ways to connect with our target audience. Most importantly, you’ll develop excellent working relationships with third-party event organisers to further establish our brands Butternut Box and Marro.

This is a hybrid working role, offering flexibility with 2 work-from-home days each week. Our office days at the Box Office are Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday.

  • 🛠️ Event Coordination: Carefully coordinating each event to ensure it runs smoothly from start to finish, including organising accommodation, liaising with our Logistics team and communicating with our Brand Ambassadors.
  • 📊 Reporting: Regularly planning and forecasting 6-9 months ahead and reporting on key KPI’s to the team and wider business, ensuring we are all aligned on performance.

🐶🐱 A bit about us:

Butternut Box: At Butternut, we put the food back into dog food. We believe dogs deserve to eat the healthiest, most natural, and tastiest food with none of the nasties. That’s why we make freshly prepared dog food. Cooked like you would at home. Delivered in perfect portions. #LI-Hybrid

As a B-Corp certified company; you can be sure you are joining a sustainable company who care about our people, product and our impact on the environment.

Our goal is to help dogs live healthier, happier and longer lives whilst leaving humans smiling after every interaction. We’ve come a long way since our co-founders (Kev & Dave) hand-delivered the first Butternut Box, we now feed a lot of dogs across the UK & Europe - but we want to feed dogs everywhere. And to do this, we need a team of brilliant people who share that ambition to come and work with us.

Marro: There are 11 million Cats in the UK and, just like dogs, they are considered a member of the family so all we want is the best for them. The experience of owning a cat can be stressful, and the food industry has let cats down; what’s available isn’t meeting their needs for both taste and nutrition. In fact, many cat parents don’t even understand what those needs are in the first place. It’s making cats unhappy and unhealthy, and cat parents feel guilty and deflated. We think we can be the solution, and we are on a mission to deliver health and happiness to cats all over the UK.
