👋 A bit about the role

As a the MHE Trainer for Butternut Box you will work primarily training our internal team on use of our MHE such as PPT, ROPT, Reach Trucks, Counterbalance and Shunters, covering everything from refresher courses to novice courses on all equipment, this will include our squad members from warehouse, production and order fulfilment teams, In this role you can expect to:

  • Plan and deliver all MHE training on site, ensuring accurate records and reports are kept up to date, including documentation such as authorisation to operate.
  • Arrange and monitor maintenance of our MHE fleet via our 3rd party providers
  • Ensure that all employees are comprehensively trained and qualified on all site work equipment.
  • Be the subject matter expert on training and compliance for new MHE as it arrives to site
  • To observe and promote safe working practices, coach students and colleagues on safe behaviours and best practice whilst operating MHE or performing processes.
  • Identify and assess training and development requirements, with the aim to develop personal performance
  • Motivate and engage squad members in all aspects of training and development, whilst  maintaining a positive and professional atmosphere
  • Promote a good work ethic and be a positive mentor and role model
  • Working closely with the Team Leaders and Shift Operations Managers in ensuring correct training is booked and given to relevant staff.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Learning and Development Specialist in the right and best ways to evolve our L&D opportunities for our squad


    🐶 A bit about you
  • RTITB or other nationally recognised MHE training qualification is essential
  • Experience of delivering other types of training is also desirable (but not essential)
  • Passionate about developing others in all aspects of their careers
  • A keen eye for Health and safety and protecting you colleagues
  • Natural at continuous professional development
  • An excellent communicator
  • A good level computer literacy, including at least intermediate excel / Google Sheets skills
  • SAP or other warehouse management software is desirable
  • Comfortable with upwards management and stakeholder engagement
  • A flexible approach to working when needed, this role will be primarily days based, but although unlikely there may be a business need to flex to nights occasionally
  • Loves dogs (naturally)

  • This role is 100% based in our kitchen in Blyth, Doncaster
