Events Coordinator & New Business Development

London

This role historically receives a high volume of applications, so to help us identify the best candidate for our squad, we truly appreciate cover letters that showcase your passion for the role, our mission and of course - cats 🐱 and dogs 🐶

📣  A bit about the role

If you’re the kind of person who loves an organised calendar, thrives on relationship-building and gets a buzz from seeing ideas come to life on the ground – this one’s for you.

We’re looking for an organised, high-energy go-getter to join our vibrant Sales Operations team, part of the wider Direct Sales department. Our core mission is to generate sales for the business through a variety of different channels.

One of those key channels is Events; we attend hundreds each year across the country, to meet new potential customers for both Butternut Box and Marro.

As an Events Coordinator, you’ll play a really important role in our roadmap planning and execution. You’ll be responsible for sourcing new event opportunities for both brands, coordinating a packed and fast-moving roadmap and managing the entire A-Z of multiple events each week. You’ll work closely with the wider team to ensure events we attend not only run smoothly but also hit performance targets - keeping our KPIs healthy and our growth on track.

This is your chance to dive into a role that blends forward-thinking planning, strategic coordination, and people-powered execution. You’ll plan and execute an events roadmap that fuels growth and ensures we deliver best-in-class experiences across every touchpoint.

🐾 What You'll Be Doing

  • Own the events roadmap: Research, book, and coordinate a diverse range of events to ensure consistent, high-quality acquisitions for both Butternut Box and Marro.
  • Master the details: Set the events up for success. Ensure no detail goes overlooked. Securing prime stand locations, booking suitable accommodation & keeping clear & consistent communication with the team.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders: Work closely with Brand Ambassadors, the logistics team, and Regional Sales Managers to deliver smooth, impactful event experiences.
  • Build strong external relationships: Maintain great relationships with new and existing event organisers, representing the brand and ensuring everyone leaves with a positive experience of Butternut Box & Marro.
  • Negotiate smartly: Secure the best possible deals on event bookings, stand locations & packages to keep both our costs aligned with department targets and maximise ROI.
  • Champion key metrics: Track and analyse event performance against KPIs, sharing actionable insights to help refine our strategy and drive growth.

👋  A bit about you.

  • You are an excellent communicator, both in person and virtually.
  • You solve problems efficiently and handle unforeseen issues with ease.
  • You are ambitious, motivated and eager to learn from others.
  • You can juggle competing priorities whilst delivering quality work.

We're proud to be B-Corp certified, committed to people, planet, and pups.
  • **Marro:** Cats deserve better too. Marro was born to fix what’s broken in the cat food world, confusing labels, poor nutrition, and uninspired meals. We’re here to make cat care simple, joyful, and full of love, with tasty, nutritionally complete meals that help cats thrive. Our goal? Healthier, happier cats and more confident, relaxed cat parents.
