Senior Digital Marketeer
Also known as Senior Digital Marketing Specialist / Senior Performance Marketeer / Senior Performance Marketing Specialist
Location: Amsterdam (Hybrid: 3 days in office, 2 from home)
Contract: Full-time
🐾 A bit about us
At Butternut Box, we put the food back into dog food. We believe dogs deserve to eat the healthiest, most natural and tastiest food, made with love and none of the nasties. That’s why we make freshly prepared dog food, cooked like you would at home and delivered in perfect portions, straight to your door.
We’re a certified B Corp, which means we’re committed to doing business the right way, balancing people, the planet, and profit. Our goal? To help dogs live healthier, happier, and longer lives while leaving humans smiling after every interaction.
We launched in the Netherlands in 2022 and are now growing fast across the Benelux region, with around 25 Butternutters in our Amsterdam office (and quite a few dogs too!). Our office is located on the Weteringschans, right above Vijzelgracht metro station. We work hybrid: Monday and Friday from home, Tuesday to Thursday together in our bright, dog-friendly office.
📣 A bit about the role
We’re looking for a Senior Digital Marketeer (also known as Digital Growth Manager, Performance Marketing Specialist, or Senior Digital Marketing Specialist) to help us scale our growth across the Benelux region.
As a largely direct-to-consumer e-commerce and subscription-based business, we have a big emphasis on driving growth through our in-house digital marketing efforts, and we’ve got ambitious targets to hit.
Working closely with the Head of Growth Benelux (your manager), you’ll lead on the day-to-day execution and optimisation of both new and existing customer campaigns and help define our digital marketing strategy. You’ll be part of our energetic Growth team, working alongside our Benelux Marketeer, Influencer Marketing Intern, and our Brand & Creative team to bring our campaigns to life and make an impact.
If you love performance, creativity, and growth in equal measure, this is your chance to own a key part of our journey to feed more happy dogs. 🐾
In this role, you can expect to:
- Manage and optimise Paid Search (Google, YouTube) and Paid Social (Meta, TikTok) campaigns across Benelux.
- Lead our Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) testing and landing page improvements to drive measurable growth across the funnel.
- Report on performance and uncover insights to shape our future strategy, using data to tell clear stories and drive smarter decisions.
- Collaborate with the Brand & Creative team to brief, test and refine assets that truly resonate with our audience.
- Partner with agencies and internal teams to execute high-performing digital campaigns that convert.
- Work cross-functionally with teams in Product, Ops, and Customer Love to improve the customer journey.
- Drive the UGC/Influencer strategy, build strong partnerships and improve the quality of UGC creatives we launch in the account.
- Support and mentor our Influencer Marketing Intern, helping them grow their skills and impact.
- Test new channels, targeting strategies, and creative formats to continuously improve results.
- Bring both analytical sharpness and creative intuition - you can read the data, but you also know what makes people click (literally).
👋 A bit about you
You’ll thrive in this role if you’re both analytical and entrepreneurial, love diving into the numbers, but also enjoy coming up with clever new ways to reach and inspire our community of dog lovers.
- 5+ years of experience in Digital Marketing, ideally in a fast-paced D2C or agency environment.
- Hands-on experience with Paid Social (Meta, TikTok) and Paid Search (Google Ads, YouTube).
- Proficiency in Google Analytics, Looker, Data Studio, and A/B testing tools.
- Strong understanding of Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) and performance tracking.
- Comfortable managing budgets, reporting KPIs, and making data-backed decisions.
- Creative eye for strong ad copy, visuals, and storytelling that converts.
- Fluent in Dutch and English (French is a nice-to-have).
- Proactive, curious, and eager to continuously learn and improve.
- You have the right to work in the Netherlands.
- You are available fulltime.
- And most importantly, you love dogs. 🐾
