Platform Manager (Social & Video Platforms)

New York, New York

About Bridgewater

Bridgewater is a global macro investment firm, founded in 1975, whose mission is to develop a fundamental, cause-and-effect understanding of how markets and economies work—and translate that understanding into insights, returns, and solutions that help the world’s leading institutional investors solve their most important investment challenges.

Over five decades, we have codified our fundamental understanding into a systematic investment process—integrating human judgment with machine intelligence with the goal of applying our thinking consistently, testing it against reality, and continuously improving decision-making over time. We believe this has created a unique platform for applying AI within our process, positioning us at the frontier of integrating technology with investment decision-making.

In financial markets—where reality is constantly evolving and outcomes are uncertain—sustained excellence requires continuous learning and improvement. We believe our culture—anchored in radical truth and transparency—helps us learn faster.

Our Culture

Our culture is tied to our mission: to understand how the world works and translate that into excellence. We operate as an idea meritocracy, valuing truth, integrity, humility, and courage.

We believe great outcomes come from diverse perspectives, thoughtful debate, and a shared commitment to meaningful work and meaningful relationships.

About the Role

We are seeking a Platform Manager (Instagram, YouTube, TikTok) to own how Bridgewater shows up across modern content platforms. This role is responsible not just for publishing content, but for defining how each platform works for us — shaping platform-specific strategy, distribution, and audience growth.

This individual operates at the intersection of content, analytics, and distribution, ensuring that everything we produce is packaged, positioned, and optimized for performance in-feed. They bring a deep understanding of platform mechanics — from algorithms and formats to audience behavior — and translate that into clear, repeatable systems for execution.

The Platform Manager partners closely with Content, Creative, Multimedia, and Communications teams to ensure content is not only high quality, but strategically deployed to maximize reach, engagement, and impact.

You will be a click for the role if you:

  •  Have a deep understanding of how Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok actually work — including algorithms, formats, and audience behavior
  • Think in terms of distribution, not just creation — you care as much about packaging and performance as the content itself
  • Are highly fluent in content packaging (hooks, captions, headlines, thumbnails, first 3 seconds)
  • Can determine the right format for the idea (clip vs. carousel vs. long-form vs. series)
  • Have strong instincts for what drives engagement, retention, and shareability
  • Are comfortable owning publishing cadence, scheduling, and content calendars
  • Use data to inform decisions, and can translate performance into clear optimization actions
  • Are highly organized and operationally rigorous, able to manage multiple streams of content simultaneously
  • Stay current on platform trends, features, and emerging behaviors
  • Are a strong cross-functional partner, able to align stakeholders and drive clarity across teams

You will drive the following responsibilities:

  • Define and evolve platform-specific strategies for Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok, including role, audience, and content approach for each
  • Own content packaging and distribution, including writing captions, headlines, and hooks; selecting formats; and optimizing the first moments of content for engagement
  • Determine how content is adapted and cut for each platform to maximize performance
  • Manage publishing cadence and scheduling, including timing optimization and content calendar oversight
  • Analyze platform performance across key metrics (reach, engagement, retention, growth), and translate insights into actionable recommendations
  • Establish and refine testing frameworks (formats, hooks, timing, structure) to continuously improve performance
  • Drive audience development strategies, including follower growth, engagement loops, and repeat viewership
  • Maintain deep expertise in platform-native features and best practices, ensuring Bridgewater stays current and competitive
  • Partner cross-functionally with Content, Creative, Multimedia, and Communications teams to ensure alignment from ideation through distribution
  • Lead post-mortems and performance reviews, identifying what worked, what didn’t, and how to improve going forward
  • Ensure all platform activity aligns with Bridgewater’s brand standards, narrative priorities, and external strategy

Physical Requirements

The anticipated onsite requirement for this role is four days per week at our New York City campus.
