Job overview:
We are looking for a creative, organized, and highly connected Community + Events Manager to join our New York office. In this role, you will manage BYOMA’s US event and community engagement strategy, planning and hosting buzzworthy, disruptive brand moments with press, influencers, dermatologists, and our passionate BYOMA community.
You will find innovative ways to grow our community both online and IRL, building an engaged network of BYOMA brand advocates who champion our mission and products.
Location: Manhattan, NY (must have the right to live & work in the US)
In office: 4 days per week
Salary: $90,000 - $110,000 + bonus
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and nurture BYOMA’s relationship with our US PR agency, ensuring all press initiatives align with our global brand strategy, messaging, and tone.
- Oversee PR initiatives including press outreach, product launches, founder profiling, and thought leadership opportunities.
- Develop and execute BYOMA’s community and event strategy in the US, planning and hosting events for press, influencers, dermatologists, and brand fans.
- Identify opportunities for BYOMA to show up in culturally relevant moments, from conferences and panels to partnerships.
- Build and deepen relationships with key editors, influencers, derms, and community stakeholders, ensuring BYOMA is top-of-mind.
- Partner with the social, influencer, and brand marketing teams to amplify events and community moments across channels.
- Create IRL and digital opportunities for community engagement that foster brand advocacy and loyalty.
- Manage event budgets, logistics, production partners, guest lists, and on-the-ground execution to deliver seamless, on-brand experiences.
- Monitor and report on PR and event performance, gathering insights to inform future strategies and continuously improve execution.
Requirements:
- You have 4+ years of experience in events within beauty, skincare, wellness, or lifestyle brands.
- You have a strong understanding of the US beauty media landscape and influencer community.
- You are a natural networker and relationship-builder, confident in engaging with press, creators, and derms.
- You are highly organized and detail-oriented, with experience managing events from ideation through execution.
- You are creative, proactive, and solutions-oriented, with a passion for bringing brands to life through engaging experiences.
- You thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and are excited to contribute to a mission-led, fast-growing brand.
- You are passionate about beauty and building communities that champion better skin health for all.
