Role overview:

BYOMA is looking for a creative, culturally connected, and social-first marketer with a passion for content, community, and storytelling.

Reporting to the Director, Consumer Engagement, the Manager, Social Media & Content will lead social media execution, content development, platform growth, and community engagement across BYOMA's social ecosystem. This role will be responsible for bringing the brand to life through engaging, culturally relevant, and platform-native content that drives awareness, engagement, advocacy, and consumer acquisition.

As the day-to-day lead for social media and content, this individual will partner closely across Global, Influencer & Creator, Events & Community, Creative, and Brand Strategy & Go-To-Market teams to ensure content supports broader brand priorities, consumer engagement objectives, and business goals.

The ideal candidate lives and breathes social media, has deep expertise across TikTok and Instagram, understands how creator-led content drives engagement and growth, and has a strong instinct for identifying trends, cultural moments, and opportunities that keep brands relevant and ahead of the conversation.

Key Responsibilities

Social Media & Content Strategy

  • Execute BYOMA's social media and content strategy in partnership with the Director, Consumer Engagement and Global teams.
  • Define channel-specific objectives, KPIs, and content strategies, continuously optimizing performance based on audience behavior, platform trends, and business priorities.
  • Manage day-to-day social planning, editorial calendars, publishing, and platform execution across BYOMA's social channels.
  • Ensure content supports brand priorities, campaign objectives, retailer moments, launches, and key business initiatives.
  • Partner closely with Global teams to identify content opportunities, shape content direction, and ensure strong market relevance.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of platform best practices, audience behaviors, and emerging trends.
  • Ensure all social activity reflects BYOMA's brand voice, values, and community-first approach.

Content Creation & Development

  • Develop social-first content plans supporting innovation launches, hero campaigns, retailer priorities, community initiatives, and cultural moments.
  • Create, capture, edit, and publish engaging content across social platforms.
  • Develop content briefs, creative concepts, and content recommendations for creators, agency partners, and internal stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities to maximize content output through creator partnerships, events, community activations, and existing brand assets.
  • Ensure content remains culturally relevant, engaging, and optimized for platform performance.
  • Champion experimentation with new formats, storytelling approaches, and creative concepts.

TikTok Leadership

  • Own TikTok strategy, content planning, publishing, performance, and platform growth.
  • Identify emerging trends, creators, sounds, formats, conversations, and platform behaviors that can accelerate engagement and brand relevance.
  • Develop and execute a test-and-learn approach to content innovation and platform growth.
  • Partner closely with Influencer & Creator teams to integrate creator content and maximize performance.
  • Identify opportunities to leverage social commerce and emerging platform capabilities, including TikTok Shop.
  • Monitor platform performance and continuously optimize content based on insights and learnings.
  • Serve as BYOMA's internal expert on TikTok trends, platform evolution, and social-first content creation.

Community Management

  • Lead day-to-day community engagement across social platforms.
  • Foster meaningful conversations with consumers and strengthen community participation and advocacy.
  • Monitor conversations, sentiment, trends, and consumer feedback to identify opportunities and insights.
  • Partner with Marketing, Commercial, and Global teams to ensure timely and appropriate community responses and escalation of consumer feedback when needed.
  • Surface community insights and emerging themes that can inform future marketing initiatives and brand decisions.

Performance & Analytics

  • Own weekly and monthly social performance reporting across platforms, providing actionable recommendations to improve engagement, growth, content effectiveness, and overall platform performance.
  • Monitor engagement, reach, community growth, content performance, and platform trends.
  • Analyze content effectiveness and provide recommendations for optimization.
  • Translate social insights into actionable recommendations that improve engagement, awareness, and business performance.
  • Support development of KPI reporting and performance recaps across Consumer Engagement initiatives.

Cross-Functional Partnership

  • Partner closely with Influencer & Creator, Events & Community, Creative, HCP, and Brand Strategy & Go-To-Market teams to ensure strong integration across initiatives.
  • Partner closely with Commercial teams to identify opportunities for social amplification across key retail partners and support broader retailer marketing initiatives.
  • Support social amplification of campaigns, launches, retailer activations, creator partnerships, and community programs.
  • Collaborate with Global teams to ensure alignment between global priorities and local opportunities.
  • Act as a key connector between content, creators, community, and consumer engagement initiatives.

Team Leadership

  • Manage and develop the Social & Influencer Coordinator, partnering closely with the Influencer Manager to ensure integrated support across social media, creator partnerships, and content initiatives.
  • Establish clear priorities, goals, and development plans.
  • Foster a collaborative, entrepreneurial, and high-performing team culture.
  • Support development of best practices, tools, and ways of working that improve team effectiveness.
  • Encourage creativity, innovation, and continuous learning across the team.

 

Requirements:

  • 5-7+ years of experience across social media, content creation, community management, creator marketing, and related functions.
  • Beauty, skincare, wellness, lifestyle, or consumer brand experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience managing social media and content programs for high-growth brands.
  • Demonstrated success developing content and platform strategies that drive engagement and growth.
  • Experience working closely with creators, influencers, and social-first content.
  • Experience managing and developing junior talent preferred.

Skills

  • Deep expertise across TikTok, Instagram, and emerging social platforms.
  • Strong understanding of social-first content creation and platform best practices.
  • Experience creating, editing, and publishing content across social channels.
  • Strong understanding of creator-led marketing and digital culture.
  • Understanding of social commerce and TikTok Shop strongly preferred.
  • Excellent copywriting, storytelling, and content development skills.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable recommendations.
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
