Our spectrum of home-based services now includes Skilled Home Health Care, Palliative Care, Adult Hospice Care and Pediatric Care. We are seeking a Massage Therapist is responsible to plan, organize, and provide medically prescribed massage therapy that creates a caring and safe environment, addresses the comfort needs of patients, and positively impacts patients’ health status, wellness, and/or quality of life.

Schedule

This position is 1 day per week covering Alameda, Santa Clara and San Mateo Counties.

By the Bay Health follows all CDPH vaccine requirements for healthcare personnel.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

Plans, implements, and documents the Massage therapy treatment for each
Utilizes a variety of massage modalities based on a careful assessment of the Hospice patient and family
Address individual bodywork treatments that meet the needs of chronically ill and terminally ill patients using massage therapy techniques best suited for the client’s quality of life and meets their needs and
Provides relaxation techniques with massage therapy to managing pain, to reduce anxiety or depression, as a coping method, and allows for active involvement in the healing process for the

Education/Experience:

A minimum of one year of clinical massage therapy experience; two years’ experience preferred. Experience in home health or hospice preferred

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

Currently licensed, state certified, or registered or licensed as a massage therapist in the state and in good standing with the state board and /or current certification by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork. (NCBTMB)
Current California Driver’s License and automobile insurance that meets State of California requirements, if driving a car

Pay Range:
$40.00 - $43.00 hourly
