Position Summary: The EWM/TM Operations Consultant is a key contributor in bridging the gap between SAP system capabilities and frontline operational execution. This individual is an experienced SAP Functional Consultant with a fluency in SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) and SAP Transporation Management (TM), and a strong operational execution mindset. This role bridges system design with frontline adoption, combining deep SAP knowledge with Lean Six Sigma principles to identify inefficiencies, reduce waste, and streamline end-to-end supply chain execution.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

Analyzes and optimizes warehouse and transportation processes using Lean Six Sigma methodologies, focusing on waste reduction, cycle time improvement, and standardization.

Identifies system and process gaps within SAP EWM and TM, and develops actionable, sustainable solutions.

Collaborates with cross-functional stakeholders to capture requirements, ensure alignment, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Creates clear, user-friendly desk guides and standard operating procedures (SOPs) grounded in lean process design.

Delivers hands-on, over-the-shoulder training to frontline associates and powers users to drive adoption and system confidence.

Facilitates communication across all levels of the organization, from executive leadership to operations teams, translating complex SAP concepts into accessible business language.

Supports configuration, functional testing, and post-go-live hypercare efforts to stabilize and refine processes.

Provides change management support, assisting in user adoption by translating technical changes into operational impacts and benefits.

Establishes mechanisms for continuous feedback from end users to inform iterative improvements.

Travels to client sites up to 50% of the time.

Adheres to all certified processes as part of our commitment to maintaining the highest standards of quality and information security, which includes actively participating in quality assurance activities and ensuring the protection of sensitive information in accordance with our security policies.

Performs other related tasks as assigned by direct supervisor.
Required/Desired Qualifications:
Education, Training, and Experience:

Required – bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field or high school diploma with equivalent years of experience.

Required – experience in Six Sigma, Lean, or other process improvement methodologies.

Required – ability to obtain government security clearance for government engagements (requires U.S. Citizenship).

Desired – 5+ years of SAP Functional experience, with deep knowledge in EWM and TM modules.

Required – Strong background in warehouse and transportation execution environments.

Required – ability to travel 50% of time to client warehouse locations.

Desired – previous experience in a similar role.
-
Desired – previous experience working with U.S. Government agencies (Defense Logistics Agency preferred).

Desired – experience as an SAP functional, Previous client-facing consulting experience

SAP TM/EWM Expertise: Some understanding of SAP Warehouse Management and Extended Warehouse Management systems to leverage their full potential.

SOP Development: Experience in creating and implementing Standard Operating Procedures to standardize and improve operations.

Cross-functional Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of new processes.

Continuous Improvement: Proactive approach to identifying opportunities for continuous improvement within warehouse operations.

Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills to convey complex information clearly and effectively to warehouse operators and leaders.

Problem-solving: Strong problem-solving abilities to address and resolve operational challenges efficiently.
Compensation:
In accordance with pay transparency law, the expected salary range for this position is $122,000 – $160,000 annually. The actual compensation offered will be determined based on factors such as the candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, and location. We are committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. This posted range reflects our good faith estimate of the compensation we reasonably expect to offer for this role at the time of posting.
