People Operations Coordinator (temporary)
Cadre Hospice is redefining what the end-of-life experience can and should be. We believe every patient deserves world class care that honors their dignity, comforts their family, and transforms one of life’s hardest moments into one marked by meaning, presence, and compassion.
We serve communities across multiple states with a high-touch, people-centered care model grounded in clinical excellence, empathy, and an unwavering commitment to never compromising on quality. Our teams are selected and developed with intention because we believe the right people, supported the right way, create extraordinary care.
Our goal is simple. Deliver an exceptional end-of-life experience, one patient at a time, and raise the standard of hospice care everywhere we serve.
This position is a temporary coverage position for a period of 12-20 weeks starting at the earliest opportunity.
We’re looking for a People Operations Coordinator (Contract) to support our People team during maternity leave. This is a hands-on, detail-oriented role focused on ensuring a smooth and compliant employee experience across onboarding, offboarding, HR systems, and payroll coordination.
This role is ideal for someone early in their HR career who enjoys working in systems, building structure, and gaining exposure to HR operations during a period of growth and transition — including HRIS implementation and a PEO transition.
What You’ll Do
HR Operations & Systems
- Support HRIS administration by maintaining employee records, processing status changes, running reports, and ensuring data accuracy
- Assist in onboarding logistics from offer acceptance through first 30 days, including new hire paperwork, I-9/E-Verify, and system access coordination
- Manage offboarding processes including documentation, system deactivations, and benefits continuation notices
- Maintain organized, compliant employee files in accordance with retention requirements
HRIS Implementation & Payroll Coordination
- Support HRIS implementation and PEO transition efforts, including data validation, system updates, and process execution
- Coordinate payroll-related inputs in partnership with the PEO, ensuring accurate and timely submission of employee changes
Compliance & Administration
- Process employment verifications, unemployment claims, and wage garnishments
- Track compliance requirements including ACA reporting, required notices, and workplace postings
Employee Support
- Serve as the first point of contact for basic employee questions
- Escalate more complex issues to the People team as needed
What You Bring
- 1–3 years of HR, People Operations, or HR Coordinator experience with hands-on responsibility for onboarding, employee data management, or HR operations
- Experience working in an HRIS (iSolved, ADP, Rippling, or similar)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple processes simultaneously
- Comfortable handling sensitive and confidential information
- Highly organized, responsive, and process-oriented
- Experience supporting payroll or working in a PEO environment is a plus
What Success Looks Like
- HRIS implementation is supported effectively, with employee data clean, accurate, and up to date
- Onboarding and offboarding processes are completed consistently with no gaps
- Employee records and documentation are audit-ready at any time
- Payroll inputs are accurate and submitted on time
- Employees receive timely and helpful responses to basic questions
Why This Role
- Opportunity to gain hands-on experience supporting HR operations during a PEO transition and HRIS implementation
- Exposure to a full employee lifecycle in a growing healthcare organization
- Immediate impact in a critical People function role
