
Regional Sales Director - Central
Location: Must live in Central United States near a major airport hub
Reports To: Senior Vice President of Customer Support and Sales
Direct Reports: Yes, Neurodiagnostic, Neuromonitoring, and Sleep sales reps within the region (8-12 representatives).
Position Summary
The Regional Sales Director - Central at Cadwell is responsible for leading and managing a team of 8-12 sales representatives within the neurodiagnostic, neuromonitoring, and sleep divisions. This individual will establish and execute strategic sales plans, oversee team sales operations, ensure the team is trained on Cadwell’s product portfolio, and drive team success through mentorship, coaching, and field engagement. This role is one of three regional directors (East, Central, West) covering the US, working collaboratively to drive national sales growth. It requires a dynamic leader who thrives on extensive travel, excels at developing sales representatives, builds strong customer relationships, and drives growth through data-driven sales strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to guide and support the sales team in achieving division sales targets while managing departmental expenses effectively.
- Lead, mentor, and support a team of approximately 8-12 sales representatives, including hiring, performance evaluations, and talent development, fostering a high-performance culture focused on achieving business objectives.
- Ensure sales representatives are thoroughly trained in both product knowledge and advanced sales methodologies to enhance performance and customer engagement.
- Drive sales of capital equipment with deal sizes typically ranging from $20,000 to $1,000,000+, focusing on consultative selling to hospitals, clinics,neurology/sleep centers, and service providers..
- Maintain daily communication with the sales team through group meetings, collaborative discussions, and individual coaching sessions to ensure alignment and engagement.
- Conduct frequent field rides and customer visits to provide coaching, support, and real-time sales strategy execution.
- Analyze market trends, competitive activity, and customer needs to drive sales initiatives and identify growth opportunities.
- Oversee sales forecasting, pipeline management, and reporting through SalesForce and other sales tools.
- Represent Cadwell at industry trade shows, conventions, and training courses to strengthen brand presence and customer engagement.
- Act as the primary liaison between customers and internal teams, ensuring prompt resolution of concerns and maintaining superior customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with Central and West directors, marketing, clinical support, and R&D teams to align on national strategies, product launches, and competitive positioning.
- Ensure team compliance with FDA regulations, HIPAA, and industry standards in all sales activities.
- Stay up to date with Cadwell’s neurodiagnostic, neuromonitoring, and sleep product lines to provide technical expertise and consultative selling.
- Provide regular sales performance reports, including weekly, monthly, and quarterly updates to senior leadership.
- Perform additional duties as required to support business growth and operational needs.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in business, sales, marketing, medical/scientific discipline, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 7 years of professional sales experience, ideally in medical devices with experience selling neurodiagnostic equipment.
- Experience in neurology, sleep diagnostics, or related fields (e.g., EEG, EMG, IONM, PSG) is highly preferred.
- At least 3-5 years in a sales leadership role, with experience managing remote teams in a field-based environment.
- Advanced degree (e.g., MBA) or certifications (e.g., in medical sales or leadership) is a plus.
- Proven track record of successfully leading sales representatives and exceeding revenue goals.
- Strong ability to analyze market conditions, develop strategic responses, and execute competitive sales plans.
- Experience with CRM systems, preferably SalesForce, for pipeline management and forecasting.
Skills & Competencies
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to present technical information effectively to diverse audiences.
- Strong consultative selling abilities with a focus on customer relationship management and long-term engagement.
- Deep understanding of neurodiagnostic, neuromonitoring, and sleep diagnostic technologies, with the ability to demonstrate products and address clinical objections.
- Proficiency in data analytics tools (e.g., Excel advanced features or BI software) to interpret sales trends and forecast accurately.
- Skilled in problem-solving, decision-making, and aligning sales initiatives with company goals and values.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships at all organizational levels, both internally and externally.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM tools; experience with Windows OS in a networked environment preferred.
Physical & Travel Requirements
- Ability to perform general physical activities such as standing, walking, sitting, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and active vehicle insurance policy.
- Must be able to travel extensively (80%+), including overnight stays and international travel as needed.
- Must live near a major airport for accessibility to travel demands.
- Willingness to work outside normal business hours as required by business needs.

On Target Earnings of: $235,000 - $250,000 annualized.
