Accountant

Position Summary:
The Accountant is responsible for a variety of general accounting functions and the daily operation of a third-party financing company.
Key Duties / Responsibilities:
- Process cash receipts
- Place and receive collection calls
- Follow-through on customer contracts to assure timely receipt of payments
- Prepare customer loan documents and amortization schedules
- Compile data to calculate monthly commissions payable to sales representatives
- Prepare and file sales and use taxes, and B&O taxes
- Assist in day-to-day accounts receivable functions
- Prepare regular and ad hoc financial analysis and reports
- Assist with external audits
- Perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned
Education / Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business or related field required
- 5+ years of related work experience required
Job Knowledge / Requirements:
- Experience with general accounting rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
- Strong business math skills; read and interpret data and reports
- Critical success criteria include accuracy and attention to detail, organized approach to work, effective time management and follow-through; Commitment to confidentiality is a must
- Computer skills: MS Office and Google applications, query tools, and database systems and applications
- Complete work both independently and as an effective member of the team, adapting to changing requirements, deadlines, and priorities as needed
- Communicate clearly and professionally through listening, speaking, and writing skills; remain professional and solutions-focused while interacting with others, including customers
Physical Requirements / Working Conditions:
- General office positions may require some reaching, bending, stooping, squatting, crawling, kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting and carrying up to 20 pounds, finger dexterity, repetitive motions, standing, walking, sitting, hearing, visual acuity, color vision, and 2-way written/verbal communication. More specific details may be provided as needed or requested.

- Work hours outside normal business hours may be required to meet business needs
Salary Range
$65,000 - $90,000 USD
