Overview of the Role
- The Sr Director of Sales handles ensuring delivery of core business goals - setting up retail prominence, delivering incremental sales, and fostering trusting retailer relationships that can be used in the future. They lead the sales team and ongoing processes at a regional level and will be the main driver of top line revenue growth and the lead for ongoing strategic planning and communication. The Sr Director, Sales will have top-to-top communication with key leadership team members internally and externally. They must be skilled at setting up and keeping relationships, problem solving and finding creative solutions for unique obstacles in the day-to-day. The Sr Director, Sales will oversee leading a team of sales managers throughout the U.S. and must collaborate closely with them to drive revenue, develop go-to-market strategy, and set up and meet individual performance goals. In addition, this Sr Director will collaborate with clients & internal team members to reach any added manufacturer KPI’s that may be added year to year.
- Fully remote but must be local to Quincy, MA
- Salary range $140,000 - $150,000 based on experience, qualifications and skills
- Travel requirement: Up to 50% - i.e. Regional position; travel possibilities would include major industry shows, client meetings, team training, leadership training and travel to corporate offices.

What You’ll do at C.A. Fortune
- People Leadership
- Effective at leading a team of Directors, Account Managers and Sales Support through the employee lifecycle
- Facilitate a transparent collaborative partnership with clients & internal cross-functional team members
- Responsible for the implementation of CAF selling techniques
- Coordinate with clients to develop and implement any applicable specific brand training
- Participate in regular market interaction with team to understand the situation “on the ground” and provide active guidance and ongoing training, as necessary
- Ensure team is trained on appropriate tools and technology, and that those tools and technology are being put to proper use.
- Collaboration Leadership
- Communicate with leadership on a regular basis to help problem solve and ensure best practices are being shared
- Provide direction to clients on the best way to package information that allows for the CAF team to understand and leverage the proper resources to execute respective responsibilities
- Act as the conduit of communication for all significant information flow with supervisors and the client teams, including regular communication with the client Director or Retail
- End Game Attainment
- Skillfully maintain the existing sales portfolio, strive to establish new customer relationships and seek out strategic partnerships
- Monitor metrics, obtain insights on business execution, and proactively offer suggestions to both supervisors and clients on ways to improve the likelihood of goal attainment
- Ensure that payment, benefits and incentive programs are administered effectively, and create the appropriate motivation to achieve organizational goals
What You Should Bring to the Table
- A demonstrated competency in multi-tasking and problem-solving with focus on meeting deadlines
- Strong analytical and strategic thinker; can turn self-developed strategies/efficient processes into execution
- Extremely organized and detail-oriented
- Demonstrated ability to achieve high performance goals and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Experience selling product direct to retailers and across multiple categories throughout the store
- Experience working with both National and Regional distributors
- Experience managing and planning trade spend
- Advanced communications skills, ability to clearly articulate complex concepts in a concise manner and establish rapport quickly
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree, other relevant certifications preferred
- 7+ years of experience in a sales function required; Experience in a sales leadership position preferred
