Senior Product Designer

We are looking for a Product Designer to join our growing team. This is an individual contributor role focused on our Structured Investments Platform. This role will be pivotal in designing intuitive and visually engaging experiences for tools that simplify the process of managing, analyzing, and trading structured products. The Product Designer will be the dedicated lead for the Structured Investments platform, working closely with stakeholders across multiple teams, including Product Management, Engineering, Sales, and Marketing. The ideal candidate is passionate about using creativity to solve complex problems within the wealth management industry for user groups including independent financial advisors and bank issuers.
In addition to serving as a design lead for structured investments, this role joins a design team ranging in background and experience. While each designer ‘owns’ their product area and often works end to end, designers collaborate on an in-house design system (Equity), plan as a team, and work towards a shared strategic experience vision. CAIS is largely a desktop first, web-based application, with select mobile first and/or React Native experiences.
Responsibilities
- Create intuitive, elegant product experiences that solve the problems raised by our users and business stakeholders.
- Lead the end-to-end design process of new features, from concept to production.
- Develop design artifacts such as journey maps, flows, wireframes, and prototypes to anchor the team with a shared understanding of the product.
- Participate in user research, usability studies, and other UX research methods to gain insights on our user’s needs and behaviors.
- Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to plan and execute on features and enhancements.
- Deliver high-fidelity designs that clearly communicate requirements to Engineering.
- Present rationale for design decisions to leadership and other stakeholders.
- Regularly give and receive feedback on designs and strategic product decisions.
- Utilize and contribute to our growing design system.
- Flexibility to occasionally travel for team collaboration sessions.
Qualifications
Experience:
- 6+ years of design experience preferred (however, please apply if you have education and/or work experience that you can demonstrate contributes to your ability to succeed in this role.)
- Demonstrated ability of translating business goals and complex flows into simple experiences.
- Past work on structured products, such as notes, options, or other derivatives.
- Experience designing for financial advisors or bank issuers.
Technical Skills & Design Literacy:
- Ability to produce polished deliverables at a standard of craft.
- A portfolio of work that showcases interaction and visual design skills.
- Solid understanding of industry standards, design best practices & trends.
- Fluency in design software (Figma experience preferred).
- Proficiency in designing for data-heavy interfaces, including interactive charts, complex tables, or financial reporting tools.

CAIS’ compensation package includes a market competitive salary, a performance bonus, and exceptional benefits. If you are located in New York, New York, the base salary range for this role is $150,000 - $170,000. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific office location.
