We are seeking a highly driven, organized, and inquisitive Associate to join our Operations & Client Services team. This role will focus on optimizing business processes, enhancing system efficiency, and improving documentation to drive operational excellence. The ideal candidate will leverage Airtable, workflow automation tools, and AI-driven solutions to streamline operations, reduce manual effort, and enhance scalability across the alternative investment platform. 

As a key member of the team, you will work cross-functionally with internal stakeholders, partners, and clients to design, implement, and document optimized workflows and automation solutions. You should be detail-oriented, analytical, and highly proactive, with a strong ability to identify inefficiencies, implement automation, and create structured documentation for scalable solutions. 

Responsibilities 

  • Analyze, optimize, and document operational workflows across Pre-Trade, Trade, and Post-Trade processes.
  • Develop and implement automation solutions using Airtable, AI tools, and workflow automation platforms to enhance efficiency and minimize manual tasks.
  • Identify and recommend process improvements by analyzing existing systems, workflows, and operational bottlenecks.
  • Build and maintain structured process documentation in Confluence, SharePoint, and Airtable, ensuring clarity and accessibility.
  • Design and maintain data-driven dashboards and reports to support decision-making and improve operational oversight.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Operations, Client Services, Technology, and Product) to define system enhancements and automation strategies.
  • Manage project tracking tools to monitor progress, deliverables, and risks, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Troubleshoot operational inefficiencies and implement AI-driven process optimizations where applicable.
  • Stay ahead of emerging automation and AI trends to continuously improve processes and drive innovation.
  • Provide training and mentorship to team members on new processes and automation tools. 

Qualifications 

  • 3-4 years of experience in operations, business process optimization, or systems management within financial services.
  • Proficiency in Airtable (including database structuring, automation, and integrations).
  • Experience with workflow automation and AI tools (ChatGPT, Lucidchart, Power Automate).
  • Strong understanding of data analysis and visualization (Excel, SQL, Tableau, or similar).
  • Detail-oriented mindset, with the ability to document processes and build scalable solutions.
  • Strong project management skills—able to drive initiatives from ideation to execution with minimal supervision.
  • Exceptional communication skills—able to articulate complex processes and solutions clearly.
  • Experience working with alternative investments or fund operations is a plus.
  • Ability to learn and implement new technologies quickly in a dynamic environment.

CAIS’ compensation package includes a market competitive salary, a performance bonus, and exceptional benefits. If you are located in New York, New York, the base salary range for this role is $90,000 - $120,000. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific office location.
